October Starts Weekend
« on: October 01, 2021, 04:54:36 PM »
Just one from me this week.
A night shot on Instax. For this one I literally gave the flash the finger and used the force to get the exposure right.
And I used a custom designed scan mask to avoid getting Newton's rings... now I need to find a way to remove all that dust :)

You're making me crave Ice Cream, my biggest weakness.

This is the Irv-> Becky-> Bryan expired Agfa Vista 100 film.  I was using a Leica IIIc and used Sunny 16 to guess the exposure rating it at ASA 50.  I think I over exposed it a little.  These were all shot around the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and Arizona.  The fans were scrapped from a Dry Kiln building on my job site.

Thanks Bryan!
I must admit that I was surprised the picture even came out as I shot it in the "Hi-Key" mode which gives me the widest aperture the camera can give, f/8.

That film doesn't look too overexposed. And since it's color neg, it's better to overexpose anyways.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

I like the weird ice cones! The picture has a great 80s vibe.

This one is taken with a Speed Graphic and an old projection lens. Ilford Delta 100.

Not the usual style from me, but we need something to cheer us up as the winter is just around the corner. Shot handheld with a 140mm lens in July this year.

I didn't look at it that way; but now that you mention it, it does.
