Loving those vistas Bryan! Definitely looks great for a road trip!

Here's a mixed bunch...the first from an exhibition at a former church (called the X-Church!) where I submitted a set of 6 blank negatives from my film experiments in developing, called "These negatives seem a bit thin...". On Kodak P3200 shot at 1600 and developed in R09, at home, and scanned by me.

The second is on a film from Irv's collection (Agfa Vista 100, expired June 2006, shot at 64 because, why not?) of the Imps Trail in my city...poorly framed I must say, but I really like the colours it's given here.

The third is of my Sister who turns 60 tomorrow. This is on another film from Irv, one of the Agfa Portrait 160, expired December 2003, shot at 100iso. My Sister loved this one and nabbed it for her Fb profile photo. It's been a while since anyone wanted to use something I made, so I was really flattered!

Both the colour frames were developed and scanned by my local Snappy Snaps.

I love the Mountain West. We've done central Arizona, SW Colorado, and the Santa Fe area on separate trips. Utah and Monument Valley are still on the list. I had visions of a road trip out that way myself this summer, but I'm a lot further away than you are, and it's looking less and less likely with every passing day.

All that said, this photo has nothing to do with any of it.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

I wish you luck getting back out here, there is a lot of beautiful places to see.  Monument Valley was at the top of my list for this trip but it was closed.  It’s on the Navajo Nation and they had everything closed due to COVID.  I’m working on the Navajo Nation and had to get written permission from them to be here.  I have to carry a document in my car in case I get stopped.  I just got word a few days ago that they are opening up so Monument Valley should be open now or very soon.  I hope to go there on my way home.  I would make it a day trip on my day off but it’s about 3 1/2 hours from where I am.  The Navajo Nation covers a very large area, luckily there’s a lot of other places to visit that are quite interesting.  Even the scenery on my drive to work each day and around the job site are beautiful.

Here's one I took yesterday but it has a strange plane of focus. It seems to run from the foreground on the right to the background on the left, passing through the lady in the middle who I was focussing on. It was a 50mm f/1.4 lens used wide open. Other pictures I took on the same camera with other lenses are OK and a couple of other pictures taken using the same lens but at smaller apertures are OK. And I've checked out the lens wide open on my Sony A7ii and I can't see any problems. Could it have been film flatness? Could it cause that much difference? The film was Fomapan 100 and this was the first shot on the roll.

Fabulous shots, Bryan! I really like the look of that Panatomic-X film.
