It's the weekend! May 7-9, 2021
« on: May 07, 2021, 02:26:08 PM »
I've been busy shooting for a project along the Thames estuary. In the process, I've fallen back in love with T-Max 400, even if it is now eye-wateringly expensive in the UK.  :o

In the local shop here I will have to pay 13 pounds for one roll of T-Max 400. Some time ago I ordered a 30 mtr. roll from the UK, and even with shipping and 25% VAT on top it's cheaper.

These are from the Kodak 3 Autographic Special Model A 118 roll film camera I recently found at an estate sale.  Since I don't have any 118 film I just placed a sheet of 9X12 Foamapan 100 into the camera and used it as a one-shot.  The film fits perfectly but does leave about a 1/4 inch border.  The film was developed with Beer.

Not my dog, we were dog sitting for a friend.

something quite different from me...a photo with a people in it..in this case, my friend Fadi BouKaram when he was here several years ago visiting all the cities named Lebanon in the USA.
This is an old roll I just developed last week...and oddly I had rerolled it and double exposed it, but this one shot of Fadi was just a single.
Anyway, Zenit 12Xp with Helios 44m-4 and some Arista.

You can check out Fadi's blog and his website below: When he was visiting Albuquerque for the last time, his van was stolen, just like in Breaking Bad fashion...it was quite an ordeal.

Some great stuff here! I've not tried T-Max nor Acros, but I'll have to try these sometime!

A couple more on Rollei 400IR, from a trip to the coast with little sunlight, but plenty of rain!

Happy Weekend! Some great pictures again. I love Kodak Tmax, but recently switched to Ilford and Adox films as the Kodak stuff really got a bit expensive.

Pinhole taken at a park nearby. Zero Image 2000, Ilford Delta 400.

As a matter of interest did he get to all the cities and how many of them are there?

I am sadly letting my wallet decide my B&W tastes, and even though Ilford comes from across the pond and Kodak (supposedly) comes from upstate, the former's offerings are always cheaper 😟

However, for color, Kodak still rules 😁 Here's some Portra 400VC generously donated by Adam, shot at 1600 and dev'd in C41 for an extra 30 seconds just to be safe 😉

there are 47 cities named Lebanon and he made it to all of them.
He's currently living in Dublin. Not sure when he plans to return to the USA.

Looking at his blog there's only two Lebanon's in the Western U.S.  I've been to the one in Oregon, the other one is in Colorado.  Looks like a great way to tour the U.S.

Nigel do you have a website or someplace with more of these...I'd like to see the project you mention.
Is it for yourself or something else?
I really like these.
