Another week, another weekend... 5-7 Feb
« on: February 05, 2021, 05:45:51 PM »
It's around this time of the year that the weeks all start to mush together in a seemingly endless parade of tedium and cold, overcast misery. This photo suggests it will, in fact, give way to something more pleasant, though I'm never sure....

Edit: The colors of this look especially lurid here for some reason; when I look at the file otherwise it seems far less saturated. I assure you I did not push all the sliders to 11.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

If we keep getting snow like this I'll take it!  Took my Nikon N60 Snowboarding this week.  I figured it would make a good snowboarding camera because it's light weight, has auto-focus and it's cheap so I don't care if I crash and land on it.  I paid less than $20 for it at a garage sale several years ago.  The film is Tri-X developed in Rodinal 1:50.

We have a small hill fairly close to where I live (Mont Saint-Bruno). Their conditions are always terrible and the place is always really crowded.
Once had a snowboard accident there... still have a few scars from my encounter with a big chunk of ice that got dropped by the snow cat.

I  found a roll of EFKE 820 that I had shot so long back I don't remember when. I developed it with HC110 (b) as that is all I have at the moment.
