How Todd Hido creates atmosphere

Yesterday Jamie Windsor posted a nice video on Todd Hido.

There are things like that sometimes that we don't get at first ant that we appreciate once we hear the explanation behind it all. For me it was music by Kraftwerk. It wasn't until I saw a doc from the BBC about them that I understood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaQQCW0wH0k

On Thursday night after viewing the vid, I headed straight to The River and bought Todd Hido on Landscapes, Interiors and the Nude. It arrived on Friday and I read it on Friday night. Really interesting, so thank you again for posting. I choose that particular book because Hido talks about process and his thoughts behind the works. While he freely admits to using PhotoSlop these days, he used to do all the colour manipulation himself in the darkroom and fully understands the craft.
