Weekend December 18-20
« on: December 18, 2020, 08:15:48 PM »
in keeping with my determination to make every camera I own an astro camera....
this one from a few nights ago.
Ricoh KR10 super with an XR Rikenon f/2 lens set on a tracking mount.
Ilford 3200 film, 16 seconds, lens set at F/4.
Dunked in caffenol.
It's really messy...but I had to do it.
Moon is big blob at bottom, then Jupiter and Saturn as more blobs above it.

the grain is the size of moon rocks...:-)

Becky, that's a very nice mess, keep them coming!  :)

From me two shots on Rollei Retro 400S @200 ISO in Rodinal. First one shot with a Nikon F3 / Nikkor 50mm f1.8, the second with a Yashica YE / Jupiter 3.

I really wanted to take a look at it but we've had really cloudy skies for close to a month... I think it cleared up 2 or 3 days out of 30.

My annual Rotating Christmas Tree Polaroid.  This may be the last year I do it since I'm almost out of pack film.  Polaroid Automatic 100 Land Camera using Fujifilm FP-100c.  I've been doing this since I built the rotating tree stand in 2014.  Here's past years shots: https://www.flickr.com/search/?user_id=60348236@N07&sort=date-taken-desc&text=christmas%20rotating&view_all=1

Can't quite believe how long since I posted in a weekend thread... so, in keeping with my tardiness... Only recently developed and scanned, but these are from the filmwasters London photowalk, quite some time ago...
JCH Streetpan 400 in the Nikon F4 - dev'd in fomadon RO9.

It was a grand day out, Christian.
Looking forward to a time we can enjoy such simple pleasures again.

Old photo, but feels about right for the given moment.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Glad you liked it. I'm a big fan of Ektar behind uncoated lenses for the color it produces.

While not technically still the weekend, I'm taking some time off work, so it's still the 'weekend' for me. I know that's very post-modern of me, but I think 2020 has given us all reason to take leave of our senses, at least temporarily. Here is a shot I took on some expired Fuji Eterna cine film. I think I soaked it too long in the remjet removal bath. I got some weird bromide drag and edge effects that I don't usually see with this film. Shot in the Nikon F2 with the Nikkor Micro 55/3.5 mounted. Dev'd in DIY ECN2 chems.
