Well I'm out and about now, back working on the road because we are considered "essential" to the feds.  I rolled a bunch of Panatomic-X from a bulk spool that expired 3/1963.  I brought my Spotmatic with a few lenses that I have been wanting to use more.  For this first roll I bracketed each shot at ISO 25, 12 and 6.  Amazingly I could get away with shooting this stuff at 25 but I think it will look best at about 12.  These were all shot with an Auto Tamron f/4.5 21mm lens, yellow filter.  Question, does the use of the yellow filter mean I was actually shooting it at on stop less that I thought?  Either way it's pretty amazing how well this film has held up being 57 years out of date.

On my drive to the site, shot at 25 ISO

On site, shot at 12 ISO.  By the way, this building is over 1,500 feet long (460 meters).

Shot at 6 ISO, I just like this ISO for this shot because it has better detail in the shadows.

When using a yellow filter you have to open up one stop, for orange two stops and for red three stops. I will in fact (believe it or not) recommend an article on filters written by Ken Rockwell, it gives many tips on usage and he has even a conversion table between American and European filter designations which I couldn't find anywhere else.

Depends on whether you were metering through the filter. If you were, then no. Though that assumes lots of stuff like the spectral response of the meter and the response of the film are similar.

If you metered with the filter off then fitted the filter without adjusting the exposure, then yes.

If you metered with the filter off then fitted the filter and adjusted the exposure accordingly then no.

Thanks, that's why I asked, I was metering through the filter.  Most of the cameras I use on a regular basis don't have meters so I compensate for the filter by doing the math in my head.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Yeah. I keep thinking i'd love to go somewhere, maybe get down to see the sea again, take a camera and shoot a roll. But then. If i wanted a beer, I'd need to book a time slot in a decent pub and ensure i was there in time. If there was any kind of attraction (museum, art gallery, etc), again I'd need to book a time slot for that. Ditto food if I wanted to eat anywhere but a pub. And even if I packed a lunch and took a few cans of decent beer, there's still the whole spending time on public transport with other people who may not be paying attention to the current situation.

I'd love to have fresh air and sea views. I'd love to go and drink fine beer by the coast, but right now, it's too much of a faff and I'd rather not risk it (especially after receiving medical advice not to use public transport unless absolutely necessary).

Also because the UK Government are a bunch of tossers it's only a matter of time before Lockdown II: The Lockening.

I guess Lockdown: the sequel is about to hit the box office!
Yesterday there was a big meeting of Covid deniers where they did everything that can be done to get it except kissing each other on the mouth to prove it's just a hoax created by government.

I'm still shooting around the neighborhood. Yeah the material is getting a little stale, but a friend gave me an F2 body, so I'm in love and can't stop shooting it.

Thisis Kodak Ektachrome Slide Dupe that expired in 1996. Dev'd in DIY ECN2.

That either looks like a weird broccoli-romanesco hybrid, or some trees taken with a tilt-shift lens ;D Which one is it? ;D

I just heard that Americans are sneaking into BC on pleasure boats going up the inland passage.  They turn off their anti-collision beacons just before they cross the boarder so they can’t be tracked.

I just spent the day avoiding people by aimlessly roaming around the Palouse wasting film.  My closest encounter was with a few cows.
