My wife finally decided she was too old to play with dolls, now I get to play with them.  Actually I was photographing them to sell on eBay so I used the opportunity to waste some film.  I did get $90 for two dolls, should I buy film or a camera? 

These were shot with my new Primo Jr with Rera Pan 400 developed in Beer.  For the first two I used a Rondo Closeup lens.  I did find another Rondo closeup lens on eBay for $10 so I have a spare now, $80 more to spend.

I've always found dolls like that a bit creepy, but I accept that probably says more about me.

I spent a good part of my day off yesterday trying to shoot Polaroid 600 film in my RB67.
I had partial success, eventually. I was exposing at 640iso, but it's definitely overexposed compared to the images shot with the Polaroid camera.
Of course, that could be the RB shutter.

I haven't used it a great deal. But then I haven't used any camera much for some time now.

And the camera has probably spent more time in pieces on my bench than it has in one piece. There were some issues with it and I've been trying to 'improve' it. I just replaced the shutter in it yesterday and I'm currently testing for light leaks.

It's an interesting camera - at least, I think it is. But whether it has anything really to offer over, say, one of the Cosina rangefinders. I'm not sure. I like to fiddle and it's given me plenty of opportunities to do that.

Thanks. It’s a ‘peel apart’ back. I bought it because I have three packs of fp-100c. Then a saw a video on YouTube tube where Dave Rollins (great channel if you’ve not seen it) shoots 600 film in his 5x4.

It’s a fiddly process, you have to take the film out of the pack in a darkbag, you can‘t put the pack back in the camera or it ejects the next frame thinking it’s a darkslide - I put it in a film tank. Put the frame in the Polaroid back, shoot the frame, back in the darkbag, back in the pack. Then put the pack back in the camera, at which point it thinks it’s a darkslide so ejects it, developing the film. Taadaa!

It’s fun to try but I don’t see myself doing it often.

I’ll be interested to see if you like it when it’s all back together. I’d like one of the Cosina rangefinders, but they’re too pricey just to play with.

The T981 tends to be expensive as well. Mostly only available from Japan so import duty and VAT to add. I paid nearly £400 for mine with a lens but I sold the lens for £200 so, overall, not bad. I've no idea what the Cosinas go for these days.

Edit. Just looked up the prices of some Bessa rangefinders. Jeez. Whish I'd hung on to my R3A now. So maybe the T981 isn't so expensive.

These are photos from the Matt Loves Panos contest. I've been holding on to them until the results were announced. I've got 2 of those that made it to the semifinals, so I'm quite happy with that.
They were taken with an Ultronic Panorama plastic crapcam. Pretty happy with the results so far.

Ah! I've done that with an actual Polaroid 100 and some packfilm. Problem is, the picture is reversed left <> right. Also the problem is that you can only take one picture (unless you walk around with a dark bag and don't mind looking like an idiot changing film ). Also that it takes forever for that one picture But if those were "actual" problems, we wouldn't shoot film, would we?

I finally got the baffles into the right place to resolve the last problem in the new Sessantotto 6x8 pinhole camera, so it now runs quite smoothly.

Interestingly, I had picked up some rolls of a different Fomapan 200, the one in the fancy box. It is noticeably different from the previous 'Creative' 200, and has ULTRA 200 printed along the neg strip. The weather was calm but a bit shitey with clouds, but it still pulled some contrast. The river Tawe (again!) and a part of a memorial to some miners killed in a small pit flood a few years ago.

Hey everyone!   
Good weekend threads! I'm still here lurking, just not posting so much. It's hot and I'm not motivated to do much except try to stay cool.

My offering is from a Konica C35 AF2 with Hp5 dunked in caffenol.
We've talked about the Konica C35 here before, but I will just add that it's a really nice little point and shoot camera. If you can overcome the fact that it only focuses on the center and there's no way to trick it otherwise, i find it quite a nice user.
I shot this in my backyard in the shade. It's an Aberts' squirrel and this one is a real pest. She has chewed off the plastic perching rails for the birds so she can just hang upside down and get to the sunflower seeds easier. The birds don't seem to mind the alteration, but few will eat while she's eating.
Oh and this is cropped just a bit..I really could get close as long as I didn't make any abrupt movements.

I think I would hang that feeder one squirrel length plus 6 inches below the branch.

Probably won't change much of anything. These critters were made to join the circus!
I've seen so many supposedly "squirrel proof" feeders that seemed to be more efficient at emptying the buyer's wallet than preventing them from eating the bird feed it's incredible.

I call them Fuzzy Tailed Tree Rats.  When they get into the bird feeder they help feed their cousins, Hairless Tailed Ground Rats, by dropping seed all over the place.

The deer seem to be the ones that most benefit from the spilled seed...I've also watched a coyote eat the sunflower seeds that get dropped.
