Fireworks have been going off for over a week around my neighborhood.  No parade or fireworks shows this year so everyone will be shooting off their own stuff, legal or not.  There are plenty of reservations around here to get illegal fireworks.   By the way, this should be called Bryan’s Birthday weekend thread since it’s starting on my birthday. 

Leica IIIf using a Summaron 3.5cm f/3.5 lens.  The film is Ilford Pan-F 50+ developed in Beer.

Due to the 'rona turnaround on film has been slower than usual at my local shop. Here's some photos from two weekends ago, of the local June Bug Rally - taken on Fuji Acros, with my Kinoflex (rebranded Halina Prefect).

I've been composing with this camera's peculiarly strong field curvature in mind, which makes it a big more fun to use. Things in the middle of the frame need to be about 10' away to be sharp. But things on the edge of the frame need to be about 3' away to be sharp. So I keep trying to work in objects close up on the edge of the frame and putting distant subjects in the center. It actually makes the camera seem like it has a really sharp lens, until you scan the frame and notice there are some weird things going on with the depth of focus.

okay, something from me then. trying out my magnifier lens camera indoors with a construction light. I'm trying to get ahold of enough lights so I can shoot f:8 1/25 with a coming camera on paper negatives.
