These are microscope slides but I didn't use my microscope to photograph them.  The mounts are too large to photograph through the microscope so I used a Leica III with an Elmar 5cm lenas, a Foacaslide and several extension tubes.  The film is expired Panatomic-X developed in Dektol 1:7 for 7 minutes.

Love those macros Bryan!

One from an early morning walk in the local forest (got out at 5ish in the morning to catch the sunrise). Speed Graphic, Kodak Tmax 400.

Those microscope slides are fantastic Bryan, I like the kit you used to take them too.

A couple of paper neg tests, trying to eliminate the 1/2 plate  Marion & Co wood and brass camera darkslides light leaks, before I put dry plates or film in them.

A photo from the archive, in honor of the weekend. A kid (20 years old in the photo) from Pasadena, CA, in Germany shortly after the end of hostilities.

This seemed appropriate for the occasion. British WW2 vet Bill Stockton when I escorted him on his first return to Normandy in 2001, 57 years after he landed in 1944, at the US cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, overlooking Omaha Beach. He was wounded in Holland, sent home for the duration. He died a number of years ago, but was proud of his service in the 43rd Wessex Division in the war.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

This lockdown thing is starting to get to me.  (I understand that I’m probably not alone in this.)

Lockdown is a time for macros of ordinary items around the house. My intrepid curry leaf plant, photographed with a Pentax ME Super with extension tube on Kodak Gold 200 of questionable storage history, processed C41 with only 2.5 minutes in blix because I wanted to enhance the image with a bit of residual silver...

And in the end it definitely worked pretty darn good.
