Dr C. Schleussner Fotowerke GmbH (Adox)
-Dr C. Schleussner Fotowerke GmbH founded in 1860 germany, used the branding Adox for their photo products.
-company was bought by dupont becoming dupont adox.
-manufacturing equipment was sold to fotokemika with the right to use the Adox name
fotokemika
-formed in 1940's in croatia manufacturer of chem, film and cameras.
-manufactured products for Dr C. Schleussner Fotowerke. under Adox brand
-bought equipment and rights to adox products and name
-lost rights to use adox name but not film recipe, decided to used EFKE brand so old adox film is now efke. Dupont was using the name for medical products.
Fotoimpex
-formed in during the reunification of germany in 1992 as a film photo product distributor.
- distributed foma, fotokemika, agfa(east) and other iron curtain films.
-early 2000 acquired the rights to the ADOX name calling themselves ADOX Fotowerke, GmbH
-used the name Adox on distributed efke film (that was previously adox film from dr. C)
-after bankruptcy of agfaPhoto, worked with their chemical company to continue to produce rodinal under the adonal name.
-partnered with Agfa Gevaert belguim for film distribution
-bought forte paper production line
-expanding and building film production factory (2011)

-Canadian film distributor (that ships from USA)
-acquired the rights to ADOX brand name as Adox Fotowerke, Inc. at almost the same time as fotoimpex.
-worked with fotoimpex's to allow their brand of (fotoimpex ADOX) film to be sold in north america
-decided to use the bluefire name to avoid confusion
