Meet Frank...

Frankenstein would be more appropriate. This was my Xmas holiday project that I've only just finished. It's made up from bits and pieces, hence the name.



It's a Schneider Angulon 90mm f6.8 (about 50 years old I think) mounted on a cone and lens board from a Crown Graphic which is attached to a reversed Mamiya bellows lens hood which is screwed to an aluminium plate cut from an old printing easel which is screwed to a wooden body made from bits I had in the garage. Topped off with very hi-tec elastic bands to hold the film holder in place.

Here's my first shot (Fomapan in Aculux)



A few problems with this but I was happy to get anything.

Here's one from today. (Fomapan in RO9)


I think I'm preferring the Fomapan in RO9 rather than Aculux.

Great work Peter, I'm very impressed. I've been thinking about doing something similar, but I think I need to start with a 5x4 pinhole and work up from there.

super stuff - with rubber bands and everything. Just like a home-made cam should look. Great results too.

...........and next week, Peter is going to show us how to make a thermo-nuclear device out of two Fairy Liquid bottles, a used cereal box and two yards of sticky-back plastic....!!  :D

That is absolutely fantastic, Peter. I'm sure you could put that into production and sell it. Just brilliant.

Actually, I might show you my home made 5x4 dev tubes complete with light trap, but I'm still refining the design so maybe it'll be a bit longer.

There's been quite a few cool home made LF creations on here lately. I'll have to post some pics of mine too. It is much uglier than yours.

nice~ it looks really well built! all sturdy looking. on the rails, is one screw for moving and the other for locking?

I'm never one to say no to a bit of coarse movement, Peter, but that aside, I too am very impressed by Frank and even more so by his maker. Lovely!
