Like I said earlier, Damion and his infinitely better half, Kelly (also known as 'The Wife'), came down to London this weekend; ostensibly because it was Kelly's birthday, but in reality the excursion was all about myself and D getting some quality photo time under our belts on Saturday. We wanted to 'theme the outing' and decided to pay homage to the other 3 Wasters-In-Chief: Susan, Leon & Skorj by taking a series of photos in their style.
*However upon closer inspection the plan had one or two significant flaws:
Susan"Er, she's a bit good isn't she?"
"I was thinking that too. Hmmm, could be a problem." Neither of us really knew where to start with this one, so we blamed it on the lack of a scenic desert in South London and the unwillingness of either of us to investigate our dreams deeply enough to commit them to film and moved onto the next candidate in our list.
Leon: "....Actually, he's pretty good too. One of those technical types. You can tell because more or less all of his photos seem to be in focus." "He must be, your mother-in-law likes his stuff doesn't she, Damion? Not sure we could compete with that. Anyway, he usues a tripod quite a lot and mine's in the shed, so we may have to give 'doing a Leon' a miss this time round."
In addition to the tripod not being readily available, we also blamed the lack of boats and old castles in my part of town.
Skorj: "So that's two off the list, how about Mark?"
"Er, well his stuff's wicked too, not to mention full of Japanese people, but we do have a few Land Cameras lying about the place don't we?" "Good call. I even have some film packs that are less than 5 years out of date....should be a breeze."
"After all, he is an Aussie so how hard can it be? We taught them everything they know."

.....or something like that (
*actually we just went out for a coffee with the girls and Amy and just snapped a few 'roids while we were walking, but one of mine came out looking Skorj-like so I concocted a whole fiction around it just to keep you all amused

)
I'm hoping D will add some of his snaps to this thread when he gets home in a day or two, but for now here are my two homages to Kuroneko himself. One taken on Northcote Road in Clapham, the other taken in the house before we went out.
