One of the odder uses of a camera in advertising
« on: April 28, 2019, 04:25:40 PM »
This ad is currently running on several of the sites I frequent, likely served up by some Google algorithm. In the Southern California housing market, $400k is "entry level", so presumably the ad is aimed at recent college graduates. For that particular cohort, I would have thought that Instax would be more recognizable, although perhaps there's a copyright or licensing issue using the image of a current Fuji product.

Mmmm.... strangely I don't get it.
Probably too old or knowledgeable to get it...

I would've preferred the camera to be line art, just like the "photo" itself. Actually, even better, the photo should be an actual Polaroid of a home. That said, the ad is pretty poorly made in general ;D

What I like is the name of the development. Typical developer type crazy name.
Novel Park... what are they going to call it when the novelty wears off?

It's a bit like a place near here called Toulouse Gardens. First thing, it ain't anywhere near Toulouse. Second, it doesn't look anything like the buildings in Toulouse. Third, it's a cheap apartment complex that is not surrounded by gardens or even has a garden in the backyard...
