Polaroid I-Type vs 600?
« on: June 14, 2018, 02:44:15 PM »
Do any polaroid users know the difference between the I-Type film and the 600 film? I thinking black and white in particular.

Thanks :)

The I type film doesn't have a battery in the pack.  It's designed to work with their new I type camera.  Even though it's the same size film it won't work with old Polaroid cameras because they need the battery to operate.  The new camera uses a separate battery, they did that to get the price of the film packs down.

But if you're handy and don't mind having an external battery pack, it's pretty easy to modify the old cameras to work. All they need is 6 volts.
When you look at the bottom of a film pack with the film exit at the front, the positive connection is on the left and the negative is on the right.
