It got pretty breezy for a while here, but not too bad. It seems like nothing compared to the cold you're experiencing.

I actually had to drive around a blown over tree while driving down a country road today but that was as exciting as it got

That's nothing... my neighbour's wheelie bin blew over... we were numb with shock for what seemed like minutes...
