I'm back :)
« on: April 26, 2017, 08:14:49 PM »
Bet you didn't even miss me :p

I have been planning to start a business for a while, now I have and things are settled down I decided to enjoy some film wasting

I went on a trip to Mother Shiptons Cave with the family, I'm planning a photo essay, but I was eager to develop the film so used the last few at home

Cannon EF, 50mm f1.4 ssc, Tri-x in HC-110

My boy, Harry who is now 5

Also a rare shot of me, Harry loves cameras and as we didn't move position it stayed in pretty good focus. He always asked which is the wind on button and which is the taking button

Glad to be back

Hi Kayos!
So you have a new business venture?
I'm quite curious to hear what it's about!

Welcome back Stuart! I miss our swift halfs ;) (I'll be back in the UK beginning of July, but I don't know which cities yet)

I too am curious about your new business, do tell!

Sadly the business venture is not that exciting, I'm a heating engineer/plumber and decided I wanted to be my own boss. Quitting a well paid job can be rather unsettling, but now things are a little calmer I can enjoy the quiet days rather than stressing about not earning.

Harry is cute, and a future film waster, he always wants a go with whatever camera I'm using

Satish, we need to go for another swift half, I can be more flexible now I'm my own boss, all it will need is a bit of notice, I think the beard makes me look distinguished, I'm considering buying a pipe so I can take it out of my mouth and point at things in customers houses....

Now wait a second, if you get a pipe then you may also have to buy a boat and fishing gear. I wouldn't really recommend it (unless you decide your business needs a little supplemental income ;) ). Speaking of business, congrats! Being your own boss is tough, but it allows you all sorts of freedom. Best of luck on the new venture!

The pipe is just a visual aid, no need to go fishing :p

Welcome back!

+1 for the pipe idea. I think a sou'wester on rainy days is enough to complete the look though ;)

Well, I guess being your own heating and plumbing contractor does have benefits! No more cold winter's and leaking plumbing :)

Usually my house is the last to be fixed, I had no heating or hot water for a week, until I replaced a £6 part.....

I'll buy that. Definitely needs a thick sweater as well though.

Welcome back! Nice shots. I had no idea what Mother Shiptons Cave or Mother SHipton for that matter were and had to google them. Looking forward to seeing the photos.
