World Toy Camera day
« on: October 20, 2007, 10:22:26 AM »
Today appears to be that day! (http://toycamera.com/)

Not only that, but today will also be England World Champions (again!) day and tomorrow is National Apple day (http://www.commonground.org.uk/appleday/a-events.html)

What more could you want?!

What plans is everyone making to join in with some or all of these mouth-watering activities?  Plenty of opporunities for film wastage!

Oh, and good morning!  :)

That was yesterday... Well here anyway. Its still today, yesterday there though? Well... its tomorrow today here.

(I took my crappiest Polaroid out with some friends and wasted a few packs of expired Type-125i.)

Well I had a wander with my Holga and Diana. Even plucked up the courage to ask a few people if I could take their portrait. The sun shone so all in all it was a good day.

Here are some of my efforts taken for WTCD 2007. Taken out in Dalkey Co Dublin Fuji Acros 100 developed in Rodinal.  ND and yellow filters, exposures around 30seconds.

this year it was all about bw for me. i shot with three cameras. holga 120n, diana, brownie hawkeye flash(w/flipped lens). oh, and the arcan mf-10t turtlecam 35mm with a flipped lens. so i guess that makes it four cameras. i rode my scooter out to a giant temple that i hadn't been to for awhile. it was the first time i'd ridden out there by myself and got a little lost on the way. but i eventually found my way so that's the important thing.

Nice work 2 and 3 are my favourites,  lovely delicate details in both.

If nothing else, this thread has reminded me that I need to use my Dianas more. I've been using the Coronet Commander as my toycamn of choice over the last year (for no other reason than to be apart from the herd), BUT when something's as good as a Diana it can't be denied for long....and you get more exposures per roll  :D
