Definitely what's bringing me back to the hobby.
I have never been able to get excited by digital cameras.
I think the parallels with music are sound. My £100 laptop now has a connection to any piece of music ever recorded, and which I can access for free. And when you have all you can eat music, it becomes far less appealing for some reason.
Digital cameras are all-you-can-eat buffets of photography. Of course you can do good images on them, but there is an intrinsic lack of value in the images they produce, because you simply never have to think about it.
