In a recent trade with James I got a few rolls of his Kodak Plus-x-Aerecon II that expired in 1998.  I developed it in beer.

This is the first roll that I have run thru my Minolta srTsc-II in about 30 years.  My father bought two of them, one for him and the other for my brothers and I to use in high school photography class.  My nephew has the other one, he used it in his high school photography class recently.  We had some cold weather recently so I took the camera for walk around the neighborhood.  It's actually snowing as I'm posting this so I need to load up another camera quick before it melts.  Snow doesn't usually last very long around here if we're lucky enough to get it at all.

Nice job with the Aerecon Bryan. I especially like the second shot. Enjoy shooting in the snow. That's a fading memory for me. :(

I was walking around with my XA loaded with Lomography 400 that I was shooting at 800. At f/2.8, still just a stop or two slower than I'd like for night shots. But I saw this scene and had to get it, so I set the focus scale on 2.8' and shot. Obviously the distance was way off, but I like the entire frame being out of focus. Gives it kind of an old Londony look to me for some reason.

Great selection of photos again.  A couple of grab shots at Tate Modern from a couple of weekends ago.  Leica MP, 35mm Summicron + Fuji BW400CN (my last roll, I think....!)

Hope we all have a great festive season and a happy, healthy and wealthy 2017.

Thanks, Antonio, for the best seasonal image of the year.

Here are a few from last January's trip to Portugal, just now processed.  They are some street shots—rare for me.  The second has an unintended self-portrait.  All are made with a Rolleiflex on Tri-X and developed in Xtol.

Happy holidays, all.

Thanks Manuel and Irv! Irv, that photo is beautiful on its own and already tells me an entire story, I can't wait for the volumes that your full photo essay will tell!

James, with all its apparent issues, I still think it's a lovely photo.
