Topic: ilford sporti -die german holga in british guise?

Got this lil gem on loan from a friend and I was immediately struck by its charm! The T-mode being a great asset with just a handful of hours with light per day here this time of year. Though it's mostly metal and robust, I was surprised that the lens wasn't a pull out type like those Agfa... Solida? Isolette? The twist and pull tube thing anyway. So what focal length is this?! Certainly below 70mm. But that lens though... The holga optical lens counterpart gives off a more modern look than this super uncoated bottom of a coke bottle off the shore lens. As you probably can tell, I'm stoked to see the results! 

Okay, so anyone here got any experience with one or the dacora counterpart?

Sadly, no experience with the ilford at all.
Ilford never was a popular brand here. I'm not even sure they were imported here.

'tis true, my best of 2015 was shot with one.
I like mine quite a bit, and was originally prompted to searching one out because Andrea Ingram had done some very nice work with one she has.

I even liked mine so much I bought a spare, but the spare has a misfiring shutter...

100 speed film is your friend with this one, or just hold a yellow filter in front of it if shooting faster b/w emulsions.
They are quite simple and charming and have a surprisingly sharp lens for a simple meniscus.

ah, yes. now that you mention it the shutter looked kind of slow. I love slow films so I started out with a lucky 100 and if that one comes out good I might pop a efke 25 in there
