I finished scanning the roll of Dacomatic referred to in
this thread. I learned a whole bunch of things from this roll, because I was also testing out a couple of different pieces of glass. More on that after the break.
1. I dev'd the Dacomatic in HC110H for 8 minutes, it probably could have used more. In fact, I shot it at 50 and maybe I'll shoot the next roll at 25 to get more shadow detail.
2. My Minolta 58mm/1.4 lens is indeed slightly sharper in daylight than it is at night.
3. I was testing out a 2x teleconverter that I got for free with the 58/1.4, and not only does it cut out 2 stops of light, it also makes the focus VERY soft. Almost unusably soft, unless you're really going for that Vaseline-smeared look
