I was expecting those scenes to be more spooky...
I'm glad they aren't :)

Very nicely done. There's something about the night photography done in the 1930s that's remarkably evocative. These remind me of a cross between Brassai's night work and Atget's compositions.
Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Ah yes! These are wonderful. I loved the Regents Street photo, possibly because it's so recognisably Regents Street (and because of the street lamps in the middle of the road!), but they are all amazing. Great find.

Wonderful find.

Echoing Indofunk's sentiment; I'd love to be able to shoot some of the landmarks around London but, these days, most of London is mad busy virtually 24/7 and there are areas in the 1930s set that anyone would be mad to be alone with a camera late at night.

How about trying to shoot at f/64 (or less) late at night? That may sufficiently blur out all the moving people in the frame. I believe someone did something similar in the Wall St area early in the morning, but Wall St early in the morning is already pretty dead, and anyways I think the photos were d*****l  ::)

Thanks for the that, I really enjoyed looking through those. Maybe come spring of those of us who live close could try something similar.
