Autumn Colours /Fall Colors
« on: November 18, 2015, 05:21:04 PM »
The other day I put a roll of Agfa Vista Plus 200 in my Contax G1 just to take a couple of images in my garden
decorated with beautiful autumn colours.

Fell free to add your autumn shots.

Can't remember if my Facebook photos show up here, but I'll try again. All of these taken a couple of weeks ago somewhere around Poughkeepsie, on expired, rebranded Ferrania film.

I've been shooting a fair bit lately, but mostly B&W. I did manage a few rolls of color a couple weeks ago.

Wait... it's Fall?? Sorry folks, 81F here today. If anything the leaves are just drying up and hanging there, dead on the trees. Guess I'll have to do my Fall Colors in b/w.

James, go pound sand, I'm sure you can find some at the beach.  We have snow in the forecast next week and the wind storm a few days ago stripped most of the leaves from the trees.

This first one was shot with a Pentax ME using Ektar 100.  The second one was shot with a Canon AE-1 using Cinestill 800T.

excellent thread... Late Dev's and Paul Mitchell's Burnham Beeches shots I especially like. Paul, that Velvia's like a punch in the retinas... :P
I've been mostly shooting B&W for the last couple of years, but can't resist a few rolls of colour at this time of year.

This is from the last weekend in October, a spare hour just exploring the garden with a Sigma 105mm macro.
Lots of lovely dewy spiderwebs which I'll either "essay" or put in the weekend thread, but this particular shot is a simple leaf closeup. I'm afraid I can't identify the plant... it has rich dark green leaves in spring and early summer, turning deep burgundy for mid to late summer, then bright red in autumn.

Aww, thanks, LA :)

And yes, doing a bit of research the other night, we came across the tidbit of info that pin oaks are the most common tree on NYC streets!

Well... there were only two and they were pretty far away. If I had something proper to feed them, like small fish, I definitely would have given them :)
