Weekend 13th-15th November
« on: November 13, 2015, 08:26:14 AM »
Last weekend I went to shoot some autumn colour, but while I'm waiting for some Velvia to come back from the lab, I converted Portra 400 to mono ..

Haven't posted anything for a while but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying all the superb images that have been posted to these weekend threads.

Another pinhole from Margate whilst scouting for locations for my son's Chasing Light film.

Paul, those pinhole shots of yours are consistently really, really good.

Simple shot from me this week. Certo Super Dollina II, Ilford FP4+ in Caffenol C-H(RS):

and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Agreed - but, without wanting to blow Paul's trumpet for him  :o - that may be why he got his FRPS from his panel of pinhole photographs. It seems we all spend far too much on lenses which are, clearly, unnecessary  ;).

Shiny paintwork?

Here's one from a few years ago:  Isolette (with Apotar, I think) and Neopan 400 (RIP).

Good start as usual! Tested out some Fomapan 400 and stand developed in Rodinal. A good dose of grain in some shots.........

I like that candid frown shot, L.A.

A little dabbling with landscape from me this time.  Portra 160 in 4x5 shot with a heavily modified Burke & James.  If you look closely you can see my friend Dan with his daughter Ivy and his Ansco 5x7 on the right bank there.

Great weekend thread.  Faves, so far, are Paul Mitchell's sublime view of Margate and O2Pilot's lovely shadow and light abstract.

Mine is from 2/3 years ago.  I found a roll of Fuji Superia 200 that hadn't been processed.  The end result wasn't that inspiring in colour but a bit of tweakery in Lightroom CC has improved it no-end, in my opinion.  Chichester harbour using, I think, a Nikon F3HP and Ai Nikkor 105mm f2.5.

2-element fixfocus lens on cheapest 35 mm cam, fill-in flash at the 2nd pic. Long expired original Agfa CT100 reversal film.

Is it a press camera or a monorail?
I'm currently working on fixing my monorail... I'm removing the battleship gray and going to a walnut stain. I also made a replacement tripod mount for the missing one.

Francois,
It's a view camera.  I think only the standards and back are B&J.  A pretty unique homemade wooden rail and baseplate.  I'll take a shot of it soon.

Mine has a hexagonal solid steel rail with a nice rack and pinion on it... the thing is so heavy I could use it as a barbell!

I notice there is a bit of a car theme so here are a few more.  These are shot with a Zenit B SLR with an Asahi Pentax Super-Takumar 28mm f/3.5 lens.  The film Kodak Gold Ultra 400 expired on 04/1996, metered as ISO 100.  These are all Crosleys shot a few weeks ago, the first one has the best option ever offered by a car manufacturer, a propeller mounted to the front grill.

My most recent shots are still undeveloped (but I'm sure they're my best yet!!  ;D ). Here's one from a roll I took almost a year ago. I scanned them in but apparently didn't bother to even go through to see which ones I wanted to edit.

K1000 and TriX in Caffenol.

Here are a couple from the only film I have shot that was stored under worse conditions than Satish's "Desert Diaries Ektachrome". This is well expired Svema FN 64 shot at 16 in the S2A with the nice Nikkor-P 75/2.8. Souped in XTol 1+1 for 10min.

Kicking around Balboa Park on a sunny Saturday morning.
