Nice start. Really like Rob's first shot and Paul's pinhole.

I saved this one from the recent NY meeting for the weekend thread. Kodak Brownie Hawkeye (reversed lens), Tri-X in Caffenol C-H(RS):

Fluminian; you're quick, first shot from the G1 already? Not unexpectedly it's looking very nice.  :)

I went for a walk with my modified Polaroid 101 Land camera and some Fuji FP-100c. Came back with a rather mixed lot. Jonas, do you recognize the stairs?  ;)

A couple of test shots from me: I bought 100 feet of expired 46mm Portra NC in the 'bay (of unknown quality but cheap) and gave it a test drive.  I'm thinking it was properly stored for most of its life.  Yashica 44 and Unicolor C-41

Wow, a really excellent weekend thread so far.

Rob: I love that shot of Big Ben because the water is smooooooooth :)

Jonas' is my favorite so far I think, because it combines bikes, into-the-sun lens flare, and action  :)

No wait, Andrej's should be my favorite because it's of MEEE  ;D

Kai: Those shots are making me look forward to buying some FP100C for my Polaroid land camera 100! Oh wait, oops! I haven't posted it in the "just picked up" thread! Pretend you didn't hear me say that!

And last but not least, I love Charles' dreamy, idyllic country shots  8)

I put a roll of Portra 160 through a Canon FTb which I hadn't used for a while, with a 50mm f1.8. I only realised after developing the film that the lens hadn't stopped down, hence all shots were taken at f1.8. These images were about five stops overexposed, and although the negs were dense, scanning still produced a reasonable result. Portra is amazing !

They were developed in the Fuji Hunt X-Press kit - my first try with these chemicals after using the Digibase kit for some time.

Oh man, there is SO much awesome in this weekend's thread! I love Rob's first shot, and Jonas's bike handles with flare. Paul's pinhole shots never fail to delight. And Gary, that second double exposure with the dogs and the floating head on the right of the frame...so creepy and cool!

Well, I've finally gotten to the backlog of 120 so I've got one that was shot a few months ago but only developed this past week. This is actually from the last "Hey, I'm walkin' here!" meet-up in Beacon.

The subject matter is something I'm sure many of you Filmwasters will appreciate :D  (Yashica D, HP5, Caffenol)

And to balance that out, a color shot that was developed and even shot recently from a walk in the woods a couple of weeks ago. Is it a fungus, or is it braaaaaaiiiiiins? Hopefully it'll at least fool the zombies during the apocalypse ;)  (K1000, Gold 200)

Agreed! Film is the best! I actually had very different results from a recent roll ... accidentally overexposed probably 3 or 4 stops, and the image is solarized! If I can get to processing it tomorrow I'll drop it in this thread.

Ok, as promised, here's my solarized shot. You can read the Flickr description for all the deets, but it's basically about +5-6EV, and that blew it out so much that it just solarized :) BTW, is it spelled "solarized" or "solarised"? Neither is recognized by my spellchecker, the Wiki page spells it with an "s", but I'm a damn Murcan, we use "z"s not "s"s you damn Brits  >:(

Solarized! by Satish Indofunk, on Flickr

On second look, I find it interesting that the center of the sun remained white, even though the corona is clearly darker than the rest of the sky, and all the shadows are definitely solarized. Oh well, film.

It's not really Monday for those shooting Polaroids, so I thought I'd drop this one in before it's too late.

I got the loan of a Polaroid 405 to try out on the Tutone, and after one minor tweak it fits perfectly.  This is the 405 with the thin lip.

Anyway, it took several shots to get the flash lighting up a bit, and even this (dull day outside) was at f.16.  So it's not wonderful, but it is one of my workbenches ...

Apparently you have to leave these prints quite some time before scanning, otherwise you get decorative splotches.   :)
