Good article Peter. I have to say I haven't been too impressed with the 3D gifs I have seen, but I guess it makes a difference if the photographer "thinks" about the shot first. Yours are obviously composed with both the 2D image and the 3D effect in mind. Is that our own Indofunk blowing some crazy jam there?

It makes me wish I'd never sold my Nishika.  But the poor thing just sat in a cupboard doing nothing. :-[

I've no idea what Live Photos are by the way.

My mobile phone contract is due for renewal right now.  I had (seriously) been considering an "upgrade" from my iPhone 5s to a 6s+ but, as my phone is in good nick and does everything I want it to do, I've decided to save £30 a month and just change my supplier and go to a sim card only contract.

I wasn't aware of the new "capability" of the iPhone 6 but it wouldn't be of any interest to attract me.  However, although I'm not the biggest fan of GIFs, there are some really nice examples in Peter's article and I might be persuaded to investigate further - so thank you, Peter.

haha wow!! watch out, vine! -or whatever that twitter-youtube hybrid is called?

now that I think about it, one of my previous digital cameras had the option to record a short sound clip when a photo was taken. probably needed a specific program to active them too haha...
