Night Shooting in London
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:38:13 AM »
I'm going to be visiting London in a couple of weeks and would like to do some night shooting of classic scenes. Is anyone up for going along (for safety in numbers).

Depending on the date I'm up for it!

As per Mr Mitchell, I'd love to tag along.  If you can post the (possible) date(s), that would be really good.

Great! I'll be arriving on Saturday September 26 and leaving on October 2.

I'd like to do some shooting on the south side (I think it is) of the river looking back at the landmarks. I'd also like to find a rooftop vantage point for some panoramas.

Just let me know. TA!

The evening of the 30th is perfect for me!

I'll get my thinking cap on as regards locations.

The evening / night of 30th is one day too late for me as we fly to Spain on 1st October. Shame, as I'd love to have been there.

If you're looking for venues on the South Bank - "The Eye", OXO Tower and viewing area of "The Shard" spring to mind.  Perhaps as well I'm not able to attend as you wouldn't get me up / on the roof of any of those!

Hope it's an enjoyable and dry night.

As mentioned on the Don McCullin thread, we could all go and see the exhibition at 13:00 or thereabouts and then walk the streets and do some shooting. The ones that can stay for the evening then proceed to the South Bank.
I would go to the night shooting if I had a tripod.

Would that sound good?
Paul, is that possible for you?

Paul, is that possible for you?

Work commitments mean that I can only make the evening sadly. I have a spare tripod if you'd like to borrow it?

I can only do the evening too. Are we talking about this in another thread then? That's confusing!

I just sent a PM to Leon with my email. I'm flying out to London tomorrow night and will be reachable by email. I'm hoping to go to the theater most nights in London, but I'd also love to do at least one night shoot.

I was thinking we could meet on the south side of Tower Bridge one night just before dark. Just let me know. THANKS!

As coincidence would have it I am in London from the 30th to the 3rd, but afraid I would have a hard time convincing the wife and kids why I should be running off to meet with other Filmwasters, rather than spend what little time we have in their company.

Leon told me about this and I'm keen to come out and meet you all (whoever ends up going), however, I'll not be able to get into central London until around 9.15pm, so let me know if you'll still be doing something at that time (or not) and I'll come along. If you're meeting up for a drink somewhere after shooting...or if you're still clicking away at that time is fine by me.

I liaise with Leon.
