Topic: My New 55 Film Arrived!

Came home yesterday to find a package in the mail. Opened it to find my New55 film, t-shirt and a small print. Now to begin the process of hoarding the five shots until I come up with a worthy subject. When that fails, begin to get panicky about the film expiring and going tow waste, shoot a mirror selfie in panicked haste, beat myself up about wasting a shot on such a stupid subject, hoard a bit longer in shame...

I'm going to take myself off their mailing list, it sounds like too much pressure.  -It's better to let these things live only in my perfect imagination of how cool they could be, if I ever got any.

I am finding myself rushing home from work and checking the mailbox as soon as I get there. So far, I have only experienced the sort of disappointment that I imagine Charlie Brown feels on Valentines Day.

I didn't know they were actually producing it yet!  How exciting!!!

I supported the Kickstarter campaign but never received mine.

I think they are sending it as they produce it, in the order of when you backed it, their facebook page explains.

Also, because they're having cash flow issues, they're offering some portion of each production run to new customers before fulfilling all the Kickstarter pledges, so it will take a little longer to get your film than it would if they were focused completely on fulfilling the Kickstarter pledges first. They checked with the people who comment on their Kickstarter page first before making that decision, but if you don't visit that frequently, you might have missed it.

Let's hope mine takes long enough to deliver so that a) I'm not on my 3 week holiday during that time and b) the Travelwide is already there. Although point b) maybe be a tad optimistic given their track record.

I wonder if they can't twist the manufacturer's arm a bit... they do have a responsibility when it comes to the quality of their product.

Are the new packs only 5 each? the old oner were boxes of 20

They are boxes of 5 currently as that is what they offered as kickstarter rewards. Once they (hopefully) get going, I assume they will offer bigger packs.
