Some very nice shots this week, I like the colour in the one from Kevin.
Here is another from Dunwich Heath (I've posted similar ones before)

I didn't see that a weekend thread had been started, so I started another! Hopefully Leon or Ed can fix this and remove my over zealous start.
Here is my 95 day solargraph.

Islay whiskies are the best, and Laphroig is the best Islay, at least for my taste. Ambrosial medicine with a good pinch of infernal tar. Who cares about photography after all, then?

These were taken this week on the dry side of Washington.  Photographed with a Rex Laboratories 4x5 press camera using my new Rodenstock Munchen, Doppel Anastigmat Eurynar f:6.8 f=24cm lens.  Kodak Super-XX Pan expired September, 1980, metered at ASA 25.  Semi-Stand developed in Adonal (Rodinal) 1-100 for 1 hour.  I shot both of these without a shutter.  Since they were shot in daylight they were both at f:50 for the longest exposure time, about 1 second.

A couple from my Olympus XA4 Macro, on Tri-X @ 1600 in Caffenol C-L; a bit of modification in post, I must admit.

Thanks for all the kind words. The little XA4 seems to do pretty well for itself.

Ya those shots are nice O2, tho I am not that surprised that they are XA4 -- the XA series has pretty good little lenses and the XA4 is the primo of the primo. (This is not to imply you did not do an awesome job, O2!). Diane, Jojonas and Bryan, I like your shots too!

Leaving work:

It was quite foggy so I went down towards the river and was rewarded:

This one had to be cropped just a bit because I somehow got a piece of the fence in the frame :P But I was still so excited when I realized a train was coming just as I was crossing the overpass!

I love those fog shots too. Here we rarely get any fog, the best fog shots I've done are shot in the UK.  ;)

From me two shots done with expired Kodak Ultra 400 exposed at ISO 200.

I'm a real sucker for mist and fog photos... They hide so much of the ugliness.
You know Leonore, you're lucky to work in a place with nice scenery like that in your travel (somehow my English is all weird sounding this morning...)

I definitely am lucky, and I've been trying to focus on that and take advantage of that luck to counteract the boringness of the work that brings me down to that area of the county :)

Ah the dredded winter tires. Summer tires should be on it eventually. I'm going to wait for us to get 10*C consistently before I'll change though. Driving a mustang in the winter demands snow tires.

re:blue, both of those shots were actually shot in cool light. I thought there was a problem with them too but reflecting back on the scenes when shot the light looks correct.

Dreaded winter tyres indeed, mine have just come off the van, the daily (abused) driver doesn't get them as sliding into a lamp post would improve it hugely, and my baby with more power than one needs or can safely used is still wrapped up in her cocoon until we get at least a week of no rain, so may be a while :)

We got no choice but to live with them here as they're mandatory on all cars... weird Quebec law that's valid from the 15th of December to the 15th of March.
But this year, my summer tires are still buried under a few feet of snow...

Well. Before the law, we used to drive on all season tires and there wasn't much problem. Then the government imposed that law which forces everybody to use winter tires. We now use-up more tires than ever before.
They said it was for safety but I have the feeling it didn't change much in the end. People feel "safe" with snow grips on their cars and drive a lot faster than what would be safe no matter the weather. Winter tires are absolutely the worse when it comes to fuel economy and storing spare tires is a big pain on either the yard or the wallet if you rent storage space for them. We have three cars at home. That means 12 tires in the backyard.

In the end, I have the feeling it wasn't really worth it.
