I rarely make portraits, but couldn't resist making this one.

This is "Doc" an interesting fellow that hangs out around the plaza in Santa Fe.

Leonore, love that touch with the heart around the graffiti.
Francois, is that a statue of a man repairing a bicycle?

I got 2 from a short photo walk across the fields last weekend. Normally I'm not a planespotter, but in this case I couldn't resist taking a snap.

It's bit hard to tell but I think it is. I haven't read the plaque on the cement base to I can't really tell what it is.
I like to think of it as a surprised cyclist who was standing on the side of the road when the road marking truck came by and had a serious malfunction :)

I always feel the need for a disclaimer when I am a tourist showing pics to the worldly locals, which in this case would be the multitudes on from NYC on FW...

But hey I was in town for a whirlwind, hyper-fun, hyper-touristy long weekend, so you get the predictable touristy photos out of the mix. Next time I am there if I am not with the kids and have more time I would love to meet up with some of you. Anyhow, lets start with something that is no doubt shot a million times, the lovely po-po neon in times square...

Got back from Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons last Thursday and just finished processing the 4 rolls I shot there. This particular one was shot on some Ektachrome slide duplicating film that James Harr most generously rolled and sent to me. It was taken right outside my cabin at Grand Tetons. At first I thought it was a regular, plain old deer, but now looking at the photo the face/snout looks more like a moose. Baby moose maybe? A non-Bambi kind of deer that East Coast city slickers aren't familiar with? Any other ideas?

Elk? Sorry, I have no clue.

I don't normally post twice but my Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm f2.8 finally got some play and I wanted to share.

I bought it for my Spotmatic and then realized that it extends just far enough into the body to prevent the mirror from clearing, so it was unusable until I got a body to go with it. I still am looking for a good Praktica FX (or FX 2/3). In the meantime, I had also gotten some extension tubes for both the K1000 and the Spotmatic and I finally had the idea to use the shortest section tube with the CZ Jena. Preliminary results are quite positive and now I really want a Praktica!
