I don't know if I'm the only one like that but I always love strange esoteric camera stuff. And usually, the stranger the better.

So I went to a local antiques dealer and found something I've never seen before on the shelf. So lets just say I couldn't leave it there.

It's a cardboard holder for a complete uncut negative strip. The film is wrapped with some paper and a band holds everything together. The label says "dad's car crash 23/8/63"

And yes, it did contain a strip of film! Tri-X Kodak Safety Film with a long leader for bottom loading rangefinders.

I was wondering about that. It does look American in shape but I didn't know the manufacturer... So it was one of those fine examples of British car making...

There's also the man at the pump with a Studebaker Avanti.

I have several rolls of processed film that I picked up with some old gear.  I need to scan them and see if there's anything good on them.  There are groups on Flickr dedicated to found photos.

Avanti... a car that last longer than it own manufactures with modifications, different engines,  refreshes. Originally made from 1962-63 by Studebaker, and on and off by various companies till 2005? or so.

The Avanti was designed by Raymond Loewy's team...

I still find it hard to believe that there were so many British cars in Canada back in the 1960's...
I know Layland had a factory near where I live and that we sometimes see some old MG, Triumph and Spitfires on the roads... Once saw a yellow Sunbeam.

The car that still mystifies me a bit is the one with wooden spokes and plenty of ornaments on the fenders...
