It's that time of year again. And I just developed a roll of the ever-popular Ektachrome Slide Dupe film.

Already sunflowers?
Geez... We won't be seeing any around here for at least a month!

Lovely...
I'm now imagining what would happen if bees decided to go pollinate those flowers...

Glad to see the revival of this thread... sunflowers are such cheerful souls aren't they?

A shot from a couple of years back. Certainly Nikon F4, likely Kodak EBX100.
Merveille de Bollwiller.
A hardy, vigorous and productive variety with large nuts!

Lovely shots Tony and SanMiguel. Keep them coming. I love this thread. People are so creative when shooting essentially the same thing. The current Bikes thread is the same kind of thing. Give filmwasters a subject and watch the creativity flow!

Double exposure on expired Ektachrome 64D (thanks Satish) exposed at iso 12.

This film appreciated the over-exposure and scanned quite easily. Not much done in post but some dust spotting.

This one is on my perennial favorite Ektachrome Slide Dupe film. Alas, I am down to my last roll. :(

Wow, I'm amazed that you can make any images at all, never mind really good images, with that old desert-stored expired film :D Well done!!

Tony, Timmy, Rob, all lovely sunflower shots! I never get tired of this thread and come back to it periodically just to look. Thanks for contributing.

Tony, that's quite a different direction than your previous shot above. I love the grain and contrast.

Timmy, that shot is like "blue, blue, blue, YELLOW!!!" That's like photo fireworks.

Rob, you have captured the sadness that is the end of sunflower season. But even withering, it is beautiful, giving its life back to the ground.

Driving through the Palouse recently I came upon this surreal field of sunflowers.  Shot with a Pentax ME using expired Kodak gold 200.
