The weekend of March 28th
« on: March 28, 2014, 04:51:14 AM »
It's been a rough few weeks for me and I have barely picked up a camera since January. I'm in desperate need of a photo pick-me-up, so I'm starting this weekend thread less than an hour into the wee hours of Friday.

I got a Fujifilm Instax Wide (which, btw, is a LOT bigger than I thought it would be!) for my birthday recently. I still need to waste lots more film to really get the most out of it, but it's showing some potential.

Sorry to begin a weekend thread with 'starter' shots, but here goes! :)

Nice delicate colours from the Instax, limr.

I haven't shot much myself in the last few months, but finally managed to finish off a roll of TMax 100 in a Canon FTb:

I like those instax wide shots more than my Polaroids. Danger, danger... avoid GAS at all costs.  :)
Well done, Eleonore.

It was a misty day when I took my Fuji GA645 Pro for some shooting. Developed in stock D76.

Good start.

Leonore, Instax is quite good in fact. My two young daughters consistently get good results from their Minis.

Everything and anything I shoot is all about filling my 52 rolls a year quota, so not all good, but here goes.

Week 11, TMX from the P6

Week 12, PanF+ from the M645

Breakfast with friends on Sunday allowed me to complete a roll of Tri-X, something I haven't done in a while.  Love their kids.

Nice work with the kiddos Jeff. They can be super fun to photograph when they are just being themselves.

From the first roll out of my 'new' Yashica Electro 35 GSN. Expired ('81) FP4 souped in Adonal 1:100 x 70min.

Long time no see! I'm currently super busy and even though I shoot occasionally (and buy cameras  ::)) I just don't have time to develop and scan myself. So I've sent a few rolls to http://ukfilmlab.com/. Here are two of their scans. Voigtländer Bessa R2, Industar 61 L/D, Kodak Portra 400.

Last weekend I made my first attempt at large format with my Rex Laboratories 4x5 press camera.  The film is Ilford Delta 100 Semi-Stand developed in Adonal (Rodinal) 6ml - 750ml for 1 hour.  I used a Paterson 2 reel developing tank and just placed the two negatives on either side of the tank emulsion side facing the center, no tacos.  The first photo is an 8 second exposure at f:5.6 and the second is a 30 second exposure at f:16.

This is the camera, I think it was marketed to crime labs in the early 1950's, there is not much information on it on the internet.  The lens and shutter are Ilex.  I picked it up at a garage sale last year for $50.

Nice work Bryan! $50 for LF is a bargain indeed! Just goes to show that cameras don't make good photos. Good photographers make them!

On craigslist click on garage sales and then type camera in the search line.  That way you know which sales to go to, saves a lot of time. ;D

Loving this as usual. Special shouts to Peter's bluescales and Bryan's large formats. I have a couple of rolls from last week that I haven't posted here, but I'll wait to see if I finish a roll this weekend for an authentic "what did you shoot this weekend" post :)

After yet another pointless attempt at organizing my photography closet aka The Ever Shifting Mess, I happened upon my Petri Racer with a half shot roll of Ilford FP4 that had been in it for a few years.

I went to a little town called Kastav yesterday. Kastav is a historical town located about 10 kilometers northwest of Rijeka and about 5 km northeast of Opatija.
I shot a couple of films there and while I was passing by an atelier the artist called me in to see his work. Both he and his work were very interesting.

A wooden bridge on my backyard. I was testing a 17mm Tamron SP lens. Nikon FM and APX100 from a bulk roll I bought some time ago. Developed in Rodinal 1+25 for 8 mins.

Stunning photos again this week. Especially like Fluminian's shots, Mab's bridge and Limr's roses. Dave's horse looks a bit creepy to me, but I have always been a bit afraid of horses.
Inspired by Astrobeck's work I had started 2 solargrams on Christmas day. Today I have picked them up.

A cupel of more flash-snaps from the roll of SAF & Mju II, picture of paper-print taken with camera phone - hence the shite quality.
Looking forward to getting home to my scanner  :o

I shot a friend's gig on Lomo 800CN film on a 1.7 lens, so I was able to use available (i.e., very little) light. I'm quite surprised at how good they came out.

Just tried out a pinhole I made from one of the many Hello Kitty lunchboxes I bought last month.
First shot came out way overexposed but this selfie one came out OK.
