I Finally Took Some Photos
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:49:22 PM »
The Wenns dragged ourselves up the motorway to the Birmingham area yesterday to meet Damion's new baby, Emmy. We ended up going to Damion's local park for a bit of a meander in the sunny, deceptively cold, afternoon. I had intended to take some snaps of Emmy & her parents, but the whole time we were in the park, she was curled up, asleep in her buggy. Sensible girl.

So, with an itching trigger finger I turned the usual camera/film combo on my tried and tested photo models and took some photos of them instead.

It's so good to have you back!

I know I haven't shot much of anything in a while but still, the presence is appreciated :)

Ed, what is that camera/film combo you use?  I've always liked the look of your pics.

Mr Shafer: The camera is an old Bronica S2A with a loupe for a lens (see photo below). I almost always shoot expired Polacolor 125i. Usually the resulting prints are very thin, so when I scan them I sometimes boost the levels in PS (almost always I just use the 'auto tones' option). The grain is a combo of the old film & the terrible lens.
 ;) :D

And it's been abducted by aliens who gave it a strange metalizing disease that only affects red duct tape!  ;D ;D ;D
I once heard that the gray tape has better glue than the colored tape...
