On a recent hike upstate I set out to find a waterfall I'd read about. Expectations were not particularly high, but I figured it was worth a look. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was rather more spectacular than I imagined, a good 50 or 60 feet high. The only downside was that there was so much ice from the spray I couldn't get any closer.

From a recent hike in Mission Trails Park. It seems that in the past there may have been some sort of reclamation projects at the bottom of this canyon since there are masses of concrete poured here and there. This looks to be the base of some structure.

Love those portraits--I'm still shooting safe inanimate subjects that don't move. Like landscapes: this is some Efke 100 in the Kodak 2D (5x7) last weekend at sunrise

I'm loving all the nature shots, especially that ice/waterfall. I myself dev'd in Tetenal at 100°F for the first time last night (have been dev'ing at 86°F because of its relative ease), and the colors are much better and sharper at 100. And really, other than the PITA of getting the developer up to temp, everything else goes really quickly, so it's not like I'm going to be losing a lot of heat.

Testing an Olympus Mju / Stylus Epic I bought for £3. This particular test was to see if I could take a picture one-handed whilst holding on the "galloping horses" of the carousel.

Enjoying this week's contributions immensely - really like Paul's first one, the delicacy of the droplets is gorgeous.

Here's one taken whilst at the London Boat Show last weekend - actually outside the Excel centre, looking across Royal Victoria Dock - the little lights in the distance are the cable cars going over the Thames and the 02 is visible on the right.

Pleased with this shot as it was handheld using a Minolta CLE (small camera) with a Voigtlander 75mm Heliar-m (large lens) taken on Acros 100 (slow film). I braced against a stanchion and took a few, of which this was the only unblurred one.

Nice welding, there, Becky! Do you use gas or arc? Most impressed by the people here doing their own color developing. I've got a C-41 kit, working up the guts to have a go with it.

Terry, no guts required. Just go for it. The worst that will happen is that you might get some color shifting if your temp is off, but that just adds more character. C'mon we want to see it!

More testing of the OM-2, this time with some Gold 200.

This looks like a sunset, but it was really a sort of faux sunset that lasted for hours, from early afternoon until the actual sunset. Weird but pretty cool.

Nice work. My favorites so far are the Forest Crocodile and the 6x12 pinhole.

I haven't posted in long time - though I have lurked quite a bit. I finally got around to making some images right at the beginning of the new year.

These were both taken with 19th Century lenses (that I had bought to use for collodion) using Fuji S-HRT xray film. The first is using a 12" Suter Aplanat B No 4 (12") from about 1890 and the second with a Lerebours et Secretan petzval (8") from about 1850. Both were taken at Lake Tahoe, CA, at dusk due to the lack of a shutter!

8x10 Fuji S-HRT EI 80 souped in HC-110 1:63 for 4.5 mins at 20C.

another one from a test roll from my newly acquired Rolleicord. Im really happy with the quality of this lens. Right now the rollei is out for maintenance. Once I get it back though, I'm going to have some FUN with this. That is only if I remember to take one step closer than normal to account for the slightly wider focal length.

Image set shotted in Hellín's cemetery.

Film is Negra Pan21 expired in 1976 (Negra is a brand that made film in Spain in late 70's and 80's and, starting the 90's, closed its business) developed in Barry Thornton two-bath developer. The lens is the Rokkor 1.7/45mm mounted in the Minolta Himatic 9.

Just if someone wants to know, the artifact flying in the second image is in the negative...

Some frosty lichens taken with my OM 1 (because it is mechanical - the OM2N was having a hard time in the -20C weather) and 50mm f3.5. Also my first time with Acros 100. Shot at box speed and developed in Xtol at 1:1.

Semi-Stand developed some photos shot this weekend and last. Developed in 1-100 Adonal for 1hour. This was the first time I used my Kodak Tourist II camera that's been sitting on my shelf for over a year now. I re-spooled the Ilford Delta 400 Pro film onto a 620 spool.

I was up real early and decided to see the dawn with the RB67 ProS. It was worth waiting in the cold in the hour seeing the light change, it's been years since I have seen the dawn and seeing it complete.
