Topic: The bath house

A favourite spot of mine. Not 200 yards from where I work, on the shores of the very inner Oslofjord. Nearly a million people live within the line of sight, yet it seems rural and remote. At times one can catch glimses of Oslo in the distance, at times not. The weather can vary quite dramatically, bright colourful sunrises to dark and forboding winter storms that black out the sun, it can go pitch black in the middle of the day.

These are 6 rather different shots. Shot on different cameras, different films, different formats, different times of the year, different times of the day.

Kjempeflott, Erik! The coloured ones and the 6X17 ones are magical.
I looked at the photos before reading the text and my first thought was that you took a lorry load of cameras to the place. I also ordered a Vermeer 6x17 some time ago and seeing your picture doesn't make the waiting easier.

Frank. For half the year I see no light other than when at work. It's dark when I leave for work, dark when I come home. So a lot of what I capture is somewhere along my way to work. Subject matter can easily be exhausted, so I try to approach it with a fresh attitude each time. And take my time. These were taken over a period of 2 years or so.

Gary. I have the 1.9 LTM version. Still one of my favourite lenses.

Manuel, the Vermeer is a beaut, I might need to fine sand the film gate on mine, but apart from that it is very well built and a dream to use.

Beautiful shots and such a good idea. With the limited daylight this time of year I've been taking my gear to work but haven't been able to find anything inspiring enough yet. I'll have to try harder - I work in an old industrial area which is now a mix of decaying industry, tired 'luxury' apartment blocks and faux 'rustic' themes.
