I quite like those results gsgary. Kodachrome as B&W is likely not an everyday thing but if you got a project in mind and a pile of mouldering Kodachrome I think it could lead to some nice images.
Being sort of the same, in that I can't throw a thing away, I shot a roll of Kodachrome 64 (found in a lot of film I successfully won on fleabay). As I didn't know what to expect I thought shooting fungus I came across in the forest might lead to some interesting results. Shot at 32 ISO with an OM2n, f3.5 macro lens & extension tube.

This was developed with a stock solution of Xtol for about 7 minutes. I gave it a 5 minute presoak and a 20 minute wash before handling it. The anti-halation layer or Remjet came away very easily.
