Yesterday I was reading a thread on APUG where somebody was requesting advice on street photography, one of the responses was:

"It's 2013 sir, too many hacks out there calling them selves "Street" photographers and slathering pictures of people they do not know or care about all over sites like Flickr like they were human prey who's heads are on display in a taxidermy shop. The days of Bresson and Winogrand have been pounded deeply into a permanent grave thanks to amateur camera owners who think of no one but them selves. Heck, I shoot professionally and do not bother people I am not assigned to photograph, I think it is super creepy in the internet age.

I'm afraid that unless you have a professional reason with official backing to do this, you are out of luck and rightfully so, no one wants to be the subject of photos they have no idea of what they are to become or why they are being taken.

Get a magazine or book assignment or, well....leave these people alone.
"

Happy being a hack!

The first, with the tree over the water, is just gorgeous.

Another one of my seemingly endless supply of fall photos, this from my last outing. Kodak Brownie Flash Six-20 pinhole conversion, Kodak Ektar 100:

and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Continuing the b+w theme--Retro 80S in a Yashica 44.  I'm running out of this stuff in 127; ordered some 46mm stock from Ilford in the June special-order sale but it hasn't arrived yet.

After a long, long time I sent out some film and got scans with it, too. As it's just not realistic right now to do all the scanning myself. I really need to choose a better lab next time. Ugh. The first one is imagesfrugales from when we met this summer in Heidelberg. Somewhat underexposed I'm afraid.

I know it's just a cat picture, but it's still my favorite from this week.
Here's Mrs.Parker as seen through the 50mm lens of my K1000 and some Fuji Superia.

Yes, the old railyard of Heidelberg is always a rewarding subject. I've been there many times and shot quite a lot if pics. Now after the "Bahnstadt" was built, it's not hidden anymore and I fear that it will be destroyed or torn down in the near future. There I did my first model shooting and it was awesome.

Late afternoon shadows at the stadium waiting for my son's (American) football game. In case you're interested. They won.

Kodak CSG in the Speed Graphic. I left my meter up at my seat, so I pulled out good ol' sunny 16. Adonal 1+100 for 4min.

Ha! Racers among us... Thanks! There actually FCRs I think, but they do indeed sound good as they approach 10,000rpm. Not as good as this one though, the Nurburgring 500km Under-1000cc winner:

80mm straight pipes and all... Curiously too Ektar appears to be the only accurate rendition of what the soft yellow actually looks like. Skj.

Maybe not a classic vintage engine but i love the sound of a 4 rotor at 10k rpm.
