It actually is quite a shame.  I think he somehow got 'stuck'.... being known as the blue man made him SOMEONE... always acting like being blue was out of his hands - that he had no other choices... He clearly seemed to love the initial notoriety and attention.  But it seems his choices were poor ones.  So sad.

At dinner with the Pauls & Diane last night we discussed The Blue Man. It occurred to me that if he hated the Papa Smurf tag so much he should at least have shaved off his damn beard!
