Here's something a bit different, a small piece of Harman DPP exposed in a Kodak Duaflex 2 TLR. 8 second exposure.

Donkey Dave - lovely shot.

A bit of colour from me.  3 shots from Celestun on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.  Holga plus Portra.

At first I misunderstood, and thought the kids were in these bales?  But I reckon not!  ;)
Nice photo!

put the kids in the bales you say, hmmm, good idea

No I find large format photography, tripods, early mornings, patience, and pre-teens are an unsuitable mixture. Although I can sometimes coax them in front of the lens, I find photography best solo.

After a long break from photography, I'm back to wasting film. At last. Some building work to my house meant my darkroom has been packed away since Christmas. Now I'm slowly putting everything back together.

Anyway - here are a couple from Boston I took in January when I was visiting for work purposes. Didn't really get much of a chance to go sight seeing so I took far fewer photos than I had planned.

I've no idea what the building is. I just liked the reflections. It was somewhere central in (freezing) Boston. Or was it Cambridge?

Hello,
last weekend it was too hot to spend much time outside so I developed the rest of my vacation pinhole shots. Here is one of the series:

Helmcken Falls 2 von Fruehstuecksflocken auf Flickr

Then I did a quick and dirty test with a zone plate and a zone sieve in the Harman Titan. Never mind the test object, just grabbed the next best thing. :)
The plates are supposed to be for 35mm (had them lying around from my DSLR), but the image quality with the Titan seems to be quite ok. Certainly worth some further testing in the field.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Hi everyone. Great to see the weekend thread is still producing some lovely work. I'm all for cool beer and I love Andrea's room photo. Dave's bales are....well, like bales look when Dave takes a picture of them; amazing. Charles....you're just taunting us with that collection  ;)

Here's one of my usual blurry things. No Wenn family children involved for a change; just a few hundred temporary residents of Broadstairs beach from two weekends ago on a visit to Kent.

Big Fish! 5x7 pinhole on paper. These two young guys were wonderful to help me with this . The younger one caught a massive big catfish and agreed to stand (somewhat) still for a 5 minute exposure..We all know this is not easily accomplished. They wanted to tell me about their fishing adventures as well as the number of horses they own so understandably they forgot to stand still for part of the exposure. I still like this shot very much! Developed in caffenol for about 35 seconds. I am liking caffenol more and more.

Still scanning vacation pics. Here's a few from the first roll that I took. I'm pretty happy with them because they actually came out the way I saw them in my head. Imagine that! ;)

Pentax K1000
Portra 160
Damned if I can remember what lens. I think it was my Sears 135mm f2.8.

Beautiful work as usual, folks.

Keeping Mark Anthony and Fluminian's drinks theme going, here's a cold lemonade on a hot day shot.

had some old 40x30cm ilford fiber multigrade in the darkroom that I cut up and tried with it.

A shot from my first roll of Lomochrome shot on my Pentax ME Super, 50mm lens.  I'd planned what I would do with the first one, to test the colour conversion, be systematic etc, and ended up at a gig with friends at a local pub in the garden. The foliage is ivy and there's some fern in there too...I'm not sure the skin tones are quite there with this film, but it's interesting enough...

From a Coronet Twelve-20 purchased for £1. The shutter speed was the only one that isn't "B" and the aperture was one of the two available:

Sorry for all the pics, but I am midway through holidays, so everything seems awesome, haha. Back from a 6 day trip to Alongquin Park in Ontario. No time to scan or clean up pics, so these are scanned from the 1hr lab (not too bad, really). My Voigtlander Vito C is one of my favorite mini-35 cameras. And I show my love by enjoying getting it wet and muddy  ::)

One of those mornings when the air is a lot colder than the water...

My dog parks himself strategically where he will not be forgotten. How do you forget a 90lb somewhat smelly Laborador, anyhow?  ::) My first roll of Portra 160, which I already like. These are from my newest OM-2...

Untitled by dsmccrac, on Flickr

I don't get tired of shooting this kind of stuff (sorry)...
