Gold plated six-20 f box brownie
« on: June 24, 2013, 07:54:55 PM »
This was the bees knees of box cameras. Gold plated parts, yellow filter, close up lens, one push shutter release
This one is from 1955 / 57 as far as I know this model in one guise or the other in Australia was the last to be made in 1964
It was the dearest one I have bought a whole £8 from a man that assured me it was from the 30's, such is life

that's a nice looking box and even nicer that they still make decent photos for their age.

I have a model d, black one that takes tack sharp photos.  Got it for a couple of bucks a few years ago and love it!

I've got two of those, one in its original Brownie Box (missing parts) and other with an unusual leather case... they're both really beautiful cameras an I won't sell it for anything! and yes... it does takes amazing pictures.
