I didn't read this thread early enough to join, but it's been very interesting to read along. Is this a yearly event? Will there be a gallery with the postcards when everyone has received them all? I'm so intrigued and would love to see the pictures. And if there's another one next year, I may have gathered up the guts and the goods by then to be able to participate! :)

limr, I was in the same situation last year and many folks here agreed to add me to their lists and we swapped some postcards. So if you are interested, just PM me directly your address and I'll print one more card for you.

Finally got Leon's card!
I guess Aussie post was good, it's just Canada Post that was their usual speed.
It's strange, after looking at it for a while, you tend to forget the fog on the paper... Also, the ground reminds me of our snowy season minus the cold...

Thank you all for your very nice offers to send me postcards and I'd like to send some in return. Trying to join the game late and send postcards to everyone participating is a bit overwhelming, plus not fair to everyone else, but I really appreciate the offer to do exchanges with a small 'subgroup' :)  I'll PM my snail mail address to you five.

Tony's excellent cyanotype arrived in the mail yesterday. It has piqued my interest in the process( more stuff to learn, that's half the fun isn't it?). Thanks Tony!

Adam I find it very hard to do postcards with this process. Larger sizes are easier IMO. As small errors in coating or exposure on larger sheets are not as noticeable compared to the small postcard.

I only mailed out half of them, for some strange reason some of them have faded too much, this never happened so fast before. Usually they get darker. I was unable to restore them with my usual methods. Will have to redo a few.

I've been stupidly busy but am now not quite so much. Or rather I will have a lot of time just sitting around when I can pick photos and get them printed up. So aim to get everything sent by the end of the week.

I received a fantastic street scene from Francois of a dozing (or drunk) man at a restaurant, a wonderful abstract from Harvey which my wife loves and a great architrectural shot from Andy yesterday I only hope mine come up to the standard I havve received so far!
Thanks very much guys, even the postie is enjoying seeing them as he remarked to my wife when he delivered them.

I am in a heated discussion with myself. Should I order digital prints and send them out in time. Or wet print them and send them out slightly overdue. Choices, choices!

Just received my first three! Diane, Francois, and Leon from Down Under. ;)

Fantastic all around. Love that rich color pop, Diane. Francois, it's like a glimpse from a movie. But Leon, that Agfa stock is just luscious. I feel like you sent me gold leaf. Plus, timeless image.

Thank you!

What´s the consensus? Send in envelope (and hope it preserves the card) or send it as a postcard and hope you have a more considerate mailman than I. Received two cards so far, and they have both been jammed into the mailbox and crumpled.

My batch arrived today, will be sending them on Monday.

And thanks to Piet, his Polaroid emulsion lift arrived today, though as mentioned a bit worse for wear.

I usually put a bag or a small box attached to my mailbox with the word "POSTCARD" written on it. When the postman isn't too dumb, he puts the card in it.

I'm lucky, our new postman usually slips the card in between two bills before putting it in the box. It's pretty rare that the gas and electric company bills are welcome in my box :)

I know I sent out all cards. If you dont get a card let me know.

Most of my cards are individually made all of them are a bit different. I used three different photos, in cyanotype. Some are positive images others are negatives. Halfway thru the prints I started adding some photo montage collage style additions, basic letter stickers, letraset rub-on letters, or some weird combination of such. One, I even sent with a negative dup overlay sandwich. Some are rectangular cards others are more square.

For the first time in decades, I am racing home to check my mailbox! The only time it has anything good in it these days is if I bought something from eBay, haha, but this is the first time in ages where unexpected and fun things are arriving!!

I got Piet's transfer too, is is awsome! (And the back is nice too)

And Adam, I got your moody farmhouse shot, mighty purdy.

Tony, you make me want to do cyanotypes again as they are so beautiful to look at and hold. (I do not think I will be looking for APS film players tho - inside joke for listeners to FPP, haha)

And Paul, your shot got things off to an epic start. It is a crazy image.

To all of you, the only thing bad about this has been making me sweat what I  sending you (I think my spam filter ate my first copy of my address list but I hope to print this week).

And thanks to Diane for getting this going.
