Nerd's World, in Toronto
« on: February 07, 2013, 02:15:29 PM »
This was in our local paper this morning (a reprint of the article  in the Toronto Star).

I am not sure if there are any Wasters in Toronto, I think Tintin and myself are the closest. It is funny, it talks about him driving around looking for vintage cameras, I know he has bought one at a place in our area that we have visited.

I will likely try to visit this place next time I am in the 'big smoke'

Thanks I forgot to link their site. Since I may one of the closest to them of the wasters, I just sent him a note telling them I am talking about then - in case their ears are ringing. So be nice , maybe they will pop in ;-)

Another proof that Toronto is the Centre of Universe.  >:( A Canadian Joke for all of us who live in the rest of the universe. :P
Addicted to Kodachrome, Medium Formats, Polaroid, Russian lenses and big shinny objects.

Hello all,

My name is Chris Hughes and I am the vintage camera hoarder in the article.  I appreciate everyone's comments and all are welcome to come by and visit.

Have a great day!

Chris

Hi Chris!

Hoarding... nah! Just a lot of tools to waste time with  ;D

I was just looking through your blog (or was it the diary) and I saw you too have a Coronet 3D. Have you tried it out?
It's really a lovely camera to use.

well I went. It was a neat shop, Chris was very interesting to talk to and definitely knows what camera collecting is about.

Hope to see you guys out at events in the future!

Looks great tintin.and would have been an ideal opportunity for some video footage - interview the owner etc.  Any chance you might be able to do this in the future? It would fit really nicely into our few video podacast format.
