The Trashcan Project

These are great, a group of German refuse collectors have converted huge rubbish bins on wheels into pinhole cameras. They're using 1060 x 800mm sheets of Ilford Multigrade paper as the negative.

Love this. Who is paying for the paper then?

In a way, it's the ultimate stealth camera...who would suspect a trash bin?

That's a wonderful idea! No worries about the sturdiness, all-weather capability, or solidity of the camera with those commercial bins!

I was thinking that Mike, in that first image I was expecting the lid to be wrapped in Gaffa tape - but there's none there!

Hmm I don't think they are that hard to make lighttight. IIRC the lid has a lip going down over the dumpster itself. adding one inside and black painting shouldn't be to hard to do and then you have a lighttrap. could be some of those strips for insulating windows or similar. Great projec and pics BTW
best regards
