After the excitement of last weekend, this is a very soothing photo--concept and content, all good. Monday and Tuesday were storm holidays here in southern New England. We made out better than our New York and New Jersey friends but today was, for us, the first workday of the week. I'm ready for the weekend. Thanks for bringing it on.

Been busy with a budding young photographer - Lucrecia- visiting from Cornwall for a few days. [with Mum - triple Olympic gold medallist - dad, brov and three dogs!]. Took snaps around the place, visited artists, did darkroom work - now wasted! They are just about to get on the ferry to the mainland to start their 1000 mile drive home!

here's a shot taken with a loaned canon f-1 with 20mm lens.

I'm glad to know that 24mm is just right for me now. I ended croping up a few frames

like this one..

Great start to the weekend, as ever. Nick's coastal scene gets my "fave" so far but ridiculous to choose from such a good bunch.

Mine is a scan of a neg from a few years ago. Taken after a particularly wet spell one November on the bank of a canal near to where we live. Bronica SQ-B with 80mm PS and Kodak 100TMX

a fine paper! I used up my 20x30ish stash and now I'm trying to trade myself some A5ish sized from another member in my foto club.

but I've got some slavich unibrom on the way, have you tried that?

Yes, excellent paper - haven't tried it yet in regular printing (as I suck with that, most of the time), but I love how it behaves in lith.. I'm trying to find some stock somewhere to bought at least a couple of boxes..

As for slavich unibrom - no, I haven't yet - I am somehow very suspicious about buying used papers off ebay - and here in Czech Republic you won't find almost anything else but foma, speaking of old papers.

This is the oldest Lime tree in Ireland, planted around 1690 . . .

"William of Orange and Mary accepted the throne of England in 1698, supplanting King James II who took refuge with his ally and sponsor Louis XIV of France. The tensions between James and William would reach their highpoint in 1690 at the Battle of the Boyne in Meath, where James was defeated.

In Duleek at that time there was a very significant colony of Huguenots (French Protestants) who had fled persecution in France. Subsequently to the Battle of the Boyne the people of Duleek planted two saplings entwined around each other, one an ash (native to these islands) and the other a lime (foreign and exotic) to represent Mary and William. The ash was still alive in 1849 and was referred to by Sir William Wilde following a visit to Duleek. It did not however survive into living memory. The lime tree, representing William, is still standing and is the oldest and largest lime tree in Ireland. The indent into which the ash tree was embedded is clearly visible on its north side"

I grew up in Duleek, a sleepy village at the time and i spent so much time in that tree, swinging out of its branches and climbing as high as i could go . . .
this was taken 2 weeks ago when i was HOME for the weekend.

My Faves so far have to be Ezzie's, especially the last. and Charles multi exposures. Great stuff.

Heres a few from the XA today. I was also shooting with my Bronica but havent had time yet to get that film processed. Not sure if there are any people who have a basic knowledge of graffiti. But Space Invader has been doing these pieces for a long time. Im not sure he is doing them anymore but I managed to find a copy cat in my area.

And some other images i liked. Wasn't really trying with the XA but had fun anyways.

On Saturday I went to see my pal Mammoth. This time I was carrying a new toy, a Konica Autoreflex T3 with a Hexanon AR 50mm/1.7 lens. I also have a Hexanon AR 28mm/3.5 in my bag. Both lenses are unbelievably sharp. I'm using Agfa APX100@200 in Rodinal 1+25 for some extra punch.

Good graffiti is so hard to come by.
In Montreal, we used to have Roadsworth ans Zilon. They both turned into gallery artists.
There's also in my city some weird blue footprints appearing just about everywhere on sidewalks... I still don't know who makes them and what's the point.

there was a doc i saw of a great street artist in Montreal who was doing some really cool stuff. No one knew who he was either. They would just find amazing pieces of art left for them in the morning. His name was Peter Gibson. There was a documentry about it somewhere online but i cant seem to find it right away. There isnt good street art in my city, mostly just dumb kids with stencils or krink pens.

Cool. And to think the Symbol was my first ever camera, new in 1973 or 4. Got lost in a move of house a long time ago. Fun camera.

Peter Gibson is Roadsworth. I met him once at a screening of his documentary. Very nice guy. Very calm and quiet.

It has been a long time since I have used HP4+ in my Rolleiflex but, with the low but bright sun, yesterday and today, it seemed like a bester option to control contrast. Rodinal 1:100 worked out well with it. Here are some of the results.
