Phil: Love the color.

Britt: Love the framing of that first one.

Finally got some negs from last summer scanned at a disreputable lab of ill-repute. I need Photoshop and a scanner so bad :P Olympus XA, 400 sumething-or-other, perhaps expired?

Looking forward to some Summer!

One from an all too brief Easter walking trip to the Brecon Beacons.  After around 500 metres of ascent, much across soggy moorland, and two hail storms, the views from Craig Fan Las and some sunshine were very welcome.

Good weekend to all.

Phil, I love that shot of White Sands! Very pleasing colors.

16mman, that last shot is really striking!

And kenny, I'd have to say yours is my favorite if only because I would love to jump into the picture and explore. Could you tell me more about where it is?

Great stuff, everyone!

I spend last evening slaving in the darkroom. You know when you try and pull out a print and you just can't seem to get things right? This was one of those times!
I ended up having to use grade 5... something I rarely have to do. Probably was due to the fact I used some very old HP5 that had a good layer of fog on it... But still, after a lot of patience, here it is :)
An homage to the Olympics ;)

Fort Shirley, Dominica.  Bronica RF645.  Abandoned building with trees growing through/around it.  Shot on Delta 400 accidentaly exposed at EI100, D76 1+1 for 7:45 seemed to compensate reasonably well.

Well, if i run out of things to photograph on Sunday , there's always self portraits...

This is from my 2nd roll of film through my homemade pinhole camera. It seems to work pretty well now it has a frame mask in it.

I have a soft spot for Suzi's piggie as my favourite world toy camera day pic I took was of two snoozing piggies :)

Lovely start to the week(end) thread and a corking set of photos added so far. All really interesting to look at but the highlights, for me, so far are:

- Phil's alien landscape
- Suzi's piggie
- Calbisu's 2nd (one of the best portraits I've seen, ever)
- Britt's shots of Edinburgh
- Nick Moys' shot of Brecon Beacons
- Wensleydale Blue's shot of the Dales - that print must look stunning on a wall
- Volker's Fuji instant. Not sure how you get that effect but it's lovely

Not had time to do much shooting of late but I've raided the archive for another negative originally scanned for me (low res and in jpeg) prior to getting my own scanner. This is a deliberately blurred shot of Battersea power station through a grubby train window exiting Waterloo station. Nikon F3, 24mm/f2.8 Nikkor and TMax100

What I enjoy about these weekend posts is the variety of the photographs and the imagination behind the images: very stimulating.

Here's my contribution - something of an end-of-the-roll throwaway shot - I've been playing with my 1936 Leica IIIa and a contemporary Summar last weekend: it's a very hazy but characterful lens that sometimes produces quite unexpected results, for example this one (1/100 @ f2, FP4+ Prescysol):

You are without doubt all such a talented lot!

Phil - I've run out of superlatives!
Suzi - I love fuzzy pigs
Calbisu - two great studies
Britt - Have to fave the first
Becky - love that sweet spot
Nick - mono magic!
Steven - the discarded brolly for me!
Jonas - love the connection between the crossed contrails and flags
Wensleydale - well seen
Kenny - superb tones and textures
Charles - the butcher gets my gold star this week!
Volker - stunning technique
Paul - fab piece of B&W

Just in case you're getting bored of my coastal pinholes here's some taken on a recent trip to Didcot Steam Railway (Peter R's backyard!). All taken on my Zero 2000, PanF and developed in Prescysol EF

Great work everybody, as always. I particularly like Paul's pinhole trains. Soft and sharp at the same time.

I've attached three pictures I took in my parent's garden to 'use up' a roll of film - and they turned out to be my favourite on the roll.

120 FP4+ in 1:50 R09, with my Mamiya 645/80mm lens. Sepia 'toned' in Aperture to see what they might look like printed on my new supply of Ilford MGFBWT paper.

Awesome work in this thread! very inspirational!

David Alexander - are you sure that IIIa isnt 1937 and not 1936? I also have a IIIa and from what i know its a 1937 camera. Love the lens on it. I agree with the unexpected results. I dont shoot often enough with it to predict its results very well anymore. Plus the viewfinder is SO small!

Heres a little photodump from this weekend. Shot with my newly acquired XA!
