I can't forget, I'm organizing a free workshop/shooting event in New York City:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/eventDetails.jsp/id/1221

So far we have 89 people signed up & I'm expecting it to be a fun day. We're having Tom Persinger from F295 coming in to join us, and it's sponsored by Ilford. They'll have some 4x5 Harman Titan Pinholes there and we're hoping that maybe the 8x10 will make an appearance (keep your fingers and toes crossed!)

There is still room for more pinholers, so please click on the link to reserve a spot for yourself & join us!

Cheers!

Just bumping this up as a reminder since pinhole day is rapidly approaching!

I'll be out with my Harman Titan and some converted Altoids tins.
Can't wait.
How about you???

Count me in. Last year I presented a 6x18ish image that I had taken with a 6x12 camera... an accidental partial double exposure but I liked it.

I'm going to be at London Hackspace taking pinhole photos and probably trying to turn our accidental camera obscura in the darkroom into a giant pinhole camera with a 25mm/1inch hole in the wall (we can watch the trains go by upside down on the wall  ;D)
Might document/video bits to submit to a future FW video podcast?

I finally finished building the pinhole camera I started making about 5 years ago too and ran a test roll through it last week. Hopefully have fixed the broken parts of it and have to finish up the next test roll today to dev and check.

It would be cool to see a video of the train running upside down in your accidental camera obscura too!    :)

There are still a few spots in our FREE event at the B&H EVent Space here in New York (see the link above). Ilford will be here with the Harman Titan Pinhole, and may give out some film samples, and Tom Persinger from f295 will be leading the class and the photo walk. Sign up!

Damn. Need time to build one. Got hold of some 9x12 cm film holders but I think I just take a 6x9 back for a mamiya press and improvise something.

I got all these wonderful ideas but as much ability to realize them as a drunk snail.

I've tried repeatedly to video it but there's just not enough light for the camera (and it's a f1.8 d-cam, too). I can just about do long enough exposures to capture the image circle
http://www.flickr.com/photos/fishies_go_pook/6838881596/# (link cuz it's crummy d-word)

Have spent forever calculating the correct exposure for it... hopefully should only be 20-ish seconds for a paper negative.

Apparently the "ideal" size for the depth of the room is 2mm but that'd make the exposure time nearly a whole hour (!)

One terrible mess later I got myself a 6x9 pinhole. Or well. a strange contraption in front of a mamiya press standard. Hopefully it'll work without to much fuss. No shutter or lens cap. Gonna go for the finger and darkslide rutine.

Got my 4X5 ready and holders loaded with paper. Looks like partly cloudy here which is good, helps cut down on the extreme contrast of paper. This is exciting and will be my first World Pinhole Day entry.

Too dark to do the darkroom pinhole camera. Have figured out the metering for today would be in the range of 8+ minutes when I was figuring on 21-30seconds the other day (It's a *really* dark day here in London today). Will try to take some pictures of shells and stuff at home and save the pinhole darkroom camera for a brighter day (also a day where I'll have more help on hand).

give it some time Heather  - the sun has just come out here after 3 days of constant rain. It should be with you soon as it's clearing from the south.

I'm loading my DDSs as I type (well, straight after anyway) and heading out!

The weather's been terrible here, gale force winds all day, so had an idea for some inside shots, film is currently drying, hope to scan some in later.

I abandoned my original idea. Did a meter reading this morning and it would have been 15 minutes exposure at least and I didn't feel like standing in the rain trying to stop the camera blowing away for that long. So I shot my desk instead. 1 hour exposure on Fomapan 100. 15 minutes in RO9 1+50.

It's a Canon EE17 half frame. It has several problems and may not work again. I have two more so was hoping to make at least one good one from them.

Just home from our Pinhole Day event at B&H in NYC. We had 114 people signed up for it but only 41 people showed up. The ones who didn't show really missed out. We had Tom Persinger from f295 do a class before we went out to shoot, and a rep from Ilford was there with the Harman Titan Pinhole (one thing he mentioned, that I don't know if you all know about is, they are going to be coming out with interchangeable cones for it soon, which will allow you to change the focal length), and he handed out sample film. Gary Moyer was also there as a participant, and was also really helpful to those using the Holga pinhole. After the class we went out to Bryant Park. We had a bunch of pinhole cameras in use, including  Leonardo loaded with Fujiroid that anyone could take turns using. And participants will be able to upload their results to our Flickr group to be eligible to win a $50 gift card.

All in all, a fun day!

Andrea.

Gosh, sounds like you had it sorted out over the water.

Here, it was wonderful weather 8) sun all day. Shot a couple of rolls of GP3 and posted my WWPD snap here[ http://www.pinholeday.org/gallery/2012/index.php?id=510 ] .Apparently it will show at some time.
Still, have another on my blog here http://boxesbellows.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/good-marriage.html

Probably because my morning rehearsal was cancelled, I found some time this evening to make a pinhole photo.  I sent this off to WWPD.  The hardest part was holding still for the ninety-second exposure.

Tri-x, Rodinal and a Graphic monorail view camera with a 6x9cm roll film back and a Pinhole Resource micro-drilled pinhole sheet taped to a lens board.  Another piece of gaffer's tape served as the shutter.

dang! some nice shots from you all. specially liking andreas and dianes~

double dang! my shots turned out all underexposed. miscalculated film/sun/filter :P I'll be sure to put up something though~

but I had fun visiting a group of people that had a pinhole workshop and I was really taken with this shot:

he used a tin can and I dunno if those are reflections or extra pinholes through the lid of the thing? too cool though~
I'm glad he uploaded it :) here's the link to it on pinholeday.com http://www.pinholeday.org/gallery/2012/index.php?id=421&Country=Sweden

Here's one off my roll shot on WWPD.  This year I used a Holga 120WPC, since last year's device (a Century Graphic) is now in someone else's hands.  Surprisingly enough, I got 6 usable shots off it, and the only light leak was through the one place it was supposed to leak!

Civic Square, Wellington, NZ.

Exposure was arounf 15 seconds, film Fomapan 100 developed in PC-TEA 1+50.

Fabulous set Leon! Unfortunately I was cooped up in a meeting at a village hall all day yesterday (you know where Leon...) but did manage to get out about 7pm when the sun eventually came out, I now have to wait until I get the film back and scan them.
