I have an early start today so may I kick off?

Old Ford truck photographed in Namibia and scanned this week. Hasselblad SWC and Ilford FP4 developed in ID-11.

Have a great weekend.

Nice to start hot when it's stupid cold outside.   ;)

And a reminder of what's due in a month or two ...

Seems to be an old truck theme this week (great minds do think alike).  I went for a walk in the woods with a friend and his kids this past weekend--this is one of his son having a hot (non-alcoholic I hasten to add) cider afterwards.  The other is a set of wheel tracks that might have been made by an old truck.  Perhaps.

Both shot with the Ikoflex on new Portra.

a grand start to the weekend.

A pinhole from me...it's from a series I've been working on for a few years.

I've been arranging things (cicada exoskeletons and twigs in this case) inside my solargraph cameras and then exposing them for a few days.

Lawrie : Cool truck. Nice perspective.
Sandeha : Nice close-up. They really pop out.
Andrea : I like the composition and the grain. Good one.
Spray : Very contrasty, I like it. What kind of event was that ?
Terry : Good set. It's "old truck" week on filmwasters apparently :) I too like the tracks in the field.
Magnus : Great liths. Really like the first one, kind of fading to black.
Astrobeck : I like the surrealism of the frozen insects and the long trail of the sun. A lot of thought in it. You actually but the insects in the camera ?
Sean : Great squares. Very stable compositions, which I appreciate. I little preference for the b&w.
Sam : Nice portrait. Thoughtful child.
Matt : Really nice perspective. I like how the left banister becomes whiter with the distance.
Nigel : The focus is optimal. Good colors. I also like how the distortion give movement to the horizon.

Here's my contribution. Wandering in the neighbor woods.
Hassy, 80 mil and new portra 400. I start to like that film, although I still miss NC.

After few months of not uploading here couple of shots from Sudan to prove that, phtographically speaking, I am still alive  ;). My scanner is dead so I shot the negatives... One with the Rolleiflex and one with the pentax 67, when I am shooting with these two cameras I shoot in such a different way...

First post to the w/e thread of 2012 for me...
Ilford FP4 in Bronica RF645, 65mm lens.  Orange filter.  Had a film winding problem last roll I shot with this cam last summer, OK this time though apart from a few unevenly spaced frames.  Maybe it prefers to be cold, although was only about -10C when I shot this.
River frozen enough to walk across to the other side now - if you are brave, there was a very sad drowning about where I took the pic from last winter.
This is a neg scan using a Epson 3200 flatbed and I noticed two bands on the left (about 1/6 and 1/3 across), any ideas what causes that?  Using Epson s/w then Photshop.
PS. I enjoyed seeing Charle's Holga IR shots, I guess this was what we did to mess with the tones before HDR came along ;)

Good stuff all round as usual.  Especially like all the truck shots, plus Calibsu's portraits.

Had a day off work this week so took a jaunt up to the coast at Wells-Next-The-Sea with pinhole camera under my arm.  Bitterly cold but sunny.

All with Noon 612, fomapan100, rodinal.

Happy weekend.

Yeah! Another Diana Mini user :)
I tend to like using mine in square format a lot more than half frame. Half frame takes so long to finish a roll!
I'm up to frame 31 on my Olumpus Pen and can't see the end of it... lucky I didn't put a 36 exp. film in :)

How did you add the "crinkle" texture? - hope it wasn't trying to flatten the (mumble) fibre paper...  :)

The texture comes from placing a wrinkled semitransparent paper (baking paper? not sure of the English term) on top of the paper in the enlarger. Adds a nice random element to what's already an uncontrollable (at least for me) process  :)
Another part is that the Lith-process exaggerates any texture it finds when printing for high contrast.

Just have to make sure the (mumble) baking paper doesn't blur the whole image...
A bad day in the Darkroom is better than good day at work...

A bit late, but I finally got some film in a a camera and went out shooting. Hanging out with my friend Naomi in a little town in Iowa. I gave her my Golden Half, I grabbed my Holga 135 and we had a blast.

boy, I love these weekend threads! it's like an exhibition every week! so much great and inspiring stuff from everyone~ :)

spraynpray: I really like the light and mood in your shots here. very solemn~
terry: haha, didn't see the kid first! I think that shot would be great big :)
magnus: you inspire me! I just got a box of kodak lith developer and I'm eager to try it out with some holga shots~
astrobeck: I can tell that project will be something special! oh, and thanks for the idea to put a solargraph camera where I took that sunset shot. I haven't tried that stuff so it would be an adventure~
matt: nice framing~
nigel: I really like this~ I could see having it on the wall of my cubicle :)
johann: nice mood in this. a bit us and the world.
charles: lovely Ir shots~
phil: that indoor shot with the shelves has some killer perspective~
diane: let's here it for another pinhole in the world! ;D I like the tone in your shot~
calbisu: welcome to the living ;) two great shots. the second is perfect, I think.
dave: try cleaning the top part of the scanner glass. it uses that area to calibrate. when I haven't had that clean I've gotten some tripes too. looks horrible on colour! great sky btw~
francois & diane: I can see a problem with having a too long roll haha! :D I guess that's one thing I liked about it when up north, where I shot a lot so the extra film was good for me then. and now that I got back I could switch to square to finish of a roll quick ;D
paul: love the pinhole of staithes! what a view~
windy: liking the second holga shot! blur- and grainorama~ but not without detail! how do you do it!
suzi: talking about some nice blur<3<3<3
hookstrpped: that first one is ace~ light, composure, model seems to connect her eyes with something behind the camera. kodus on a good shot! I'm curious what camera you used btw
16mman: sounds like a great day out! the light looks good too~ :)
/jonas
