Confessional 2012
« on: January 31, 2012, 03:52:21 PM »
Noticing the item mentioned below has inspired me to launch a new the Confessions thread for 2012:

Hi, I'm Ed and I have a photo of a cute kitten in my Flickr 'Favourites'.

I actually have some *gasp* digital shots in my flickr stream. Sure, they are all 5 years old, but I haven't removed them...and I actually like them. Yes, I'm a fool.

I think I can do better.

Last year I bought a fantastic Polaroid 110b modified for 4x5, I provided lenses, viewfinder, it included many backs.. Almost one year has lapsed and I still have hopes that the seller will send it to me just thinking the seller is going through a hard time himself (oh yes, I paid a good amount for it). My wife, Elena, thinks I am an.... overoptimistic.

Hmmm, I have about 45,000 digital shots in my Flickr stream, so I'm not sure I'd count that as embarrassing, BUT there are others here who probably wouldn't find my original confession much to be ashamed of either, so let's go with it  ;D

This is cool. So your confession is that you have too much faith in humanity? Love it.

you are coming close to being banned for that confession  ;) ;D ;)

The skeleton in my cupboard is that I bought my original Holga from the Lomographic Society for some mentally inflated price.  But it's ok, it came with its own roll of tape.

My confession?

I took shots of blank backgrounds on Polaroid chocolate film so I could have some textures to apply to shots taken with my Bronica in the hopes of making future, digitally created chocolate images when the real deal is all gone. (cringe) Im down to my last box and I'm desperate!  :'( :-\ :-[

I think digital in the service of analog is quite cool, like creating blown up digital negs of medium format film for platinum printing.

i thought i had bought mine from them as well, but i recently found the box with the receipt and i got it from some hong kong seller on ebay. it was still the lomography set, but at least i bought ot from someone else. though i have bought a fisheye (now dismantled) and an lc-a+ (resold) and a diana+ (resold) from them. i dunno if it's a confession, but i have a couple shots in their holga book.

I bought one of those Lomo digitaliza 120 scanning things which despite much hair tearing I've never managed to get to work - so it went back in its box and has sat there for well over a year.

i have a 35mm digitaliza. worked well with my old scanner but not with the v700. sits to close to the glass so scans not sharp.

Hi, my name is Jack. I haven't taken a picture in eight days.

This morning I looked at my cameras trying to decide which one to take. I had six seven already loaded. I couldn't decide, so I loaded a eighth and took that one instead.

One is a Diana Mini, and I still want the hot shoe adapter.

I also have a roll of Ilford SFX in 120 that's approaching three years old.

yeah, I've been thinking about that... still got the frame with glass in the closet (hope that it is anti-newton!!)

am I the only one that thinks that the contraption seres should be in the articles section? atleast having a topic gathering them there by linking would be usefull :)

I too will confess that I have the LSI digitaliza (both 35mm and 120) and use them to get borders. I like the idea but like was said before, you definitely need to have very flat negatives. That's where the book "Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century" comes in.
